The motorcycle stopped just short of where Harley and Billy were standing. The driver of the motorcycle studied the unlikely pair for a moment before removing the helmet, revealing a woman with long blond hair. The driver turned out to be Dinah Drake, also known as the hero Black Canary. Dinah turned the motorcycle off before climbing off the bike.
"What are you doing here?" asked Billy.
"Quite the interesting pair I've found" said Dinah looking over at Harley and back at Billy. "Why are you here, Harley? Where's Joker?"
"She saved me from this guy who managed to get the jump on me" said Billy. "And you didn't answer my question. What are you doing here?"
"I was just on my way home after a late night at my favorite bar down the road" said Dinah. "What are you doing out so late?"
"Batman has me looking into these kidnappings that are happening in Gotham late at night involving teenagers" said Billy.
Dinah narrowed her eyes at Billy. "Why isn't Br--Batman looking into these kidnappings himself?"
"He said that he was looking into something else" said Billy, shrugging.
"Typical" said Dinah, rolling her eyes. As Dinah did so, she seemed to have just noticed Harley's bloated stomach. "Whoa, Harley, what happened to you? Did you raid a buffet or something?"
"Something like that" said Harley patting her stomach.
"So where's Joker?" asked Dinah.
"I've ended my association with Mistah J" said Harley.
"You always say that" said Dinah.
Harley was about to say something when a belch erupted from her. It was a loud open-mouthed belch. Some object came flying out of her mouth and landed on the ground in front of her. Both Dinah and Billy looked down to see what had exited Harley. It was a rather large purple flower, drenched in liquid.
"Say, isn't this the Joker's acid-spewing flower?" asked Dinah picking the half-digested flower from the ground to examine it more closely.
"Er...it certainly looks like it" said Harley.
Dinah examined the flower and then looked at Harley's bloated stomach. "Harley....did you...eat The Joker?" asked Dinah.
"She ate the guy that had me too" said Billy. Dinah's eyes widened.
Harley sighed deeply and said, "Oh right. I might as well tell you two what happened"
Harley proceeded to tell Dinah and Billy what happened at Ace Chemicals.
"Why would you eat the Joker?" asked Dinah.
"I don't even remember eating Mistah J" said Harley. "I was in some sort of stupor or trance when I exited Ace Chemicals. And when I saved Billy here, I was still hungry. I'm not hungry anymore"
"I should hope not" said Billy.
"You know, I did hear something about Ace Chemicals just the other day" said Dinah. "Something about a buyout"
"Do you think we should investigate Ace Chemicals?" asked Billy.
"Let's have Batman look into it" said Dinah. "I'm dead tired and I don't feel like walking around in a chemical factory now"
The conversation was interrupted when a red van drove by. A woman with long red hair was at the driver's seat.
"Did that driver look familiar to you?" asked Billy to Dinah.
"It looked an awful like Giganta" said Dinah. "Who hasn't been seen in two years"
"Do you think she's involved with these kidnappings?" asked Harley.
Dinah and Billy exchanged glances.
"Anything's possible I suppose" said Billy.
