Cassandra felt conflicted at this; on the one hand, she trusted and respected Batman, knew that he would never try and cause her or anyone else harm... and yet now he had tricked her into drinking a glass of "magic juice" that would apparently allow her to swallow people whole. "W-what?" she questions, confused and feeling betrayed. She felt a tingling sensation spreading through her body, coming from her stomach, and she felt like she was going to be sick.
"It's alright, Cassandra," he assures her, going to her side immediately, "the process is totally harmless. Just sit down; it'll be over soon." Batman lifts his mask, revealing the face of Bruce Wayne, and he smiles reassuringly. Sensing that he isn't lying, Cassandra walks over to a table with his help, taking a seat in one of the chairs. She could feel her innards shifting inside her; her stomach expanding, while the rest of her organs shrunk and shifted around. Her ribcage and the other bones in her torso and lower back felt almost rubbery, but the rest of her bones seemed to be hardening, growing stronger. Her muscles were tightening as well, becoming stronger and denser while remaining the same size. She wasn't in pain, but the sensation of her body changing and mutating combined with her expert body control felt very strange, to say the least. Sweat began to trickle down her face as her body heated up, her mind going blank as the mutagen finished its work.
When she finally awoke again, hours later, she was in her bed in Wayne Manor. She was still in her suit, though her mask was off, placed on her bedside table. Strangely, she felt fine- great, even!- but that also confused her. Had she just had a nightmare? Maybe she had been exposed to Scarecrow's fear toxin, leading to that strange dream. Cautiously, she put her mask back on and crept silently into the hallway, creeping down the stairs until she got to the kitchen. Along the way, her stomach rumbled curiously, loud growls emanating from her midsection embarrassingly often- she was trying to be stealthy, but you'd have to be deaf to miss the sound of her roaring tummy. It was morning, judging by the light streaming through the windows as she went, but she still kept to the shadows. If she had been exposed to the Scarecrow's chemicals, then the other members of her new family might be in danger, and she had to take things slow and tactically to assess the possible danger. She quietly crept through the kitchen, stopping when she smelled... bacon?
She walked quickly through the kitchen, finally reaching the dining room, where some of the other members of the Bat Family were eating breakfast. Tim Drake, Bruce Wayne, and Alfred Pennyworth looked at her as she entered. Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon- Nightwing and Oracle- were absent. Cassandra noticed something odd, though; the table was absolutely packed with food. Huge piles of bacon and fried eggs, sausages, mountains of French toast, pancakes, and waffles stacked high with toppings, tons of hash browns and multiple pitchers of milk and juice. The sight and smell of it all made Cassandra's stomach growl even louder with hunger, making her blush when Tim stared directly at her midsection, and she felt saliva begin to pool in her mouth as she stared at the feast. But...
The sight confused her; you could feed an army with this much food, let alone four people. "What is...?" she asks, motioning to the banquet.
"Good morning, Miss Cassandra," Alfred greets, motioning to a chair nearby. Cassandra slowly takes her seat, pulling off her mask and politely placing it on her lap. "Master Wayne asked me to cook this meal for you- no small feat I might add, I made a morning of it- because he said you would be ravenously hungry when you woke up."
Cassandra's eyes widened in shock, and she quickly glanced at Bruce, who was casually sipping on a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper. "That... wasn't a dream?" she asks. Looking up briefly, Bruce smiles, shaking his head.
"No, it wasn't. The juice I gave you yesterday has turned you into a Metahuman- like the Flash- giving you powers. You now have mild superhuman strength and speed, greatly increased flexibility, and a much faster, more efficient digestive system. However, your superhuman physiology now requires you to consume more calories than you used to- roughly thirty times as much, about 90,000 to 100,000 calories a day." Cassandra stared at him, and his smile wavered a bit. "It's totally harmless, Cassandra- I'm confidant in your abilities, that's why I gave you that juice. You've even managed to hold back your hunger a surprisingly long time; when Black Canary was given the juice, she ate Green Arrow almost immediately after waking up. Not that he minded. Now, you should probably start eating- in fact, lets turn it into an exercise. Lets see how well you can control your digestive tract, as well as how well you can hold your meals; eat as much food as you can, without digesting it."
Cassandra, still greatly confused at the situation she found herself in but also wanting to obey the man that took her in, grabbed a plate and piled it with what she would normally eat during breakfast; two eggs, a few slices of bacon, a few sausages, and two pancakes. She cautiously started eating- and her eyes widened at just how good everything tasted. Quickly clearing her plate, she went back for seconds as her rumbling tummy growled happily at being fed. Then she went for thirds. And fourths.
Tim's eyes widened as Casssandra consumed plateful after plateful of breakfast food, hungrily devouring everything as she shoved it into her slavering maw, barely chewing as she started gulping down bite after bite of food. The massive bulges in her throat when she swallowed, the wet sounds of her smacking lips as she engulfed her food, the way she let out little moans when she tasted something new... Tim began to get hard under the table, sweating and hoping that Cassandra was too busy pigging out to notice the signs of his arousal. He gaped as her stomach slowly started to expand, stretching out her already tight costume; going from a small potbelly, to a big one, to looking like she was pregnant with twins, and she was still getting bigger. Eventually, she started to slow down, finishing her meal by tipping a pitcher of milk directly into her mouth and gulping it down rapidly, filling her stomach to the brink.
"Good heavens!" Alfred muttered, looking both at the table and at Cassandra's corpulent midsection, which pressed against the table, "I think that's the most anyone's ever enjoyed my cooking!"
"...thank you for the food, Alfred," Cassandra says softly, cradling her huge gut. Like Bruce had requested, she was concentrating on suppressing her digestive functions; her stomach wasn't producing acids, the walls of her stomach churned weakly against her huge meal, and while a little food had been sent into her intestines just from being squished to the bottom against the sphincter that led further into her body, it flowed extremely slowly through her gut.
"Excellent, Cassandra!" Bruce congratulated her, standing up. Cassandra moved to match his motion, finding that she could easily stand despite the massive weight in her stomach; however her belly, no longer constrained by the table, shot out, making her gasp and turn red in embarrassment as her costume tore open, revealing the pale dome of her gurgling tummy. Tim went redder as well, his mouth open in shock as he looked at her belly, then quickly looking away out of embarrassment. Bruce smirked at this. "Alright, Cassandra, you've earned it- go ahead and start digesting."
Cassandra said nothing, merely letting out a sigh as she stopped concentrating on her belly. It gurgled long and loudly, causing her to blush some more as it quickly and ruthlessly went to work, digesting the contents of her stomach. In just a few minutes, most of it was in her intestines; in a few more, her stomach was just as flat as it had been, the only signs that she had eaten such a massive amount of food being a few crumbs around her mouth and the massive hole that her belly had torn in her costume, revealing her scarred, but muscular abs.
"Incredible," Tim muttered, both at the speedy digestion and the look of Cassandra's fit body. They both looked at each other, blushing furiously, then just as quickly looked away.
"Oh, dear," Alfred said, "I'll get the needle and thread."
"That won't be necessary, Alfred," Bruce said, "I've already taken the liberty of designing a new suit for Cassandra. In fact," he says, turning once more to Cassandra, "you should meet me down there right away, so you can try it on. And so we can continue to test your new abilities by having you eat me."
"WHAT!?" the others said, all at once.
"I know what you're thinking," he said, motioning to Cassandra, "you think she'll digest me, like that food just now. But I know I'll be fine."
"Master Wayne, I must say that I don't think this is an advisable course of action!" Alfred pleaded.
"I do not think this is a good idea either!" Cassandra added, looking at the man who she looked up to like a father.
"Yeah, ditto!" Tim said.
"Thank you all for your concerns," Bruce says, looking each of them in the eyes, "but I'm confidant that this is the correct course of action. Unless there are any other complaints, we should head down immediately Cassandra. We still need to go on patrol later tonight."
"It's alright, Cassandra," he assures her, going to her side immediately, "the process is totally harmless. Just sit down; it'll be over soon."
