Catwoman (aka Selina Kyle) landed cat-like on the museum floor. She had stealthily snuck into the Gotham Museum of Natural History without being seen. Selina had climbed in through the open window of the office of the museum curator of all places. The office was deserted. The desk lamp was still on revealing a newspaper. Selina hurriedly exited the office and ran down the hallway as stealthily as she could. She managed to avoid the patrolling guards as she made her way to her destination.
Selina reached the room she had been looking for. It was one of those big vaulted rooms with a grand window that showed the night sky. The Bat signal was displayed in the sky but Batman was obviously after some other crime being committed elsewhere in the city. With the sheer number of villains that Gotham had Selina wasn't at all surprised that she was being ignored.
Some minutes later Selina came out of the room with prize in hand: the fabulous DeVore Diamond which was about the size of a fist. Supposedly it had a history but Selina really didn't care too much about history. Selina glanced around. Nobody had spotted her. She then returned to the office of where she gained entrance but now someone was in the office.
The hero known as Black Canary was sitting at the desk reading the newspaper as though she had been waiting for Selina.
"Don't tell me you're dumb enough to exit here the same way you came in" said Dinah Drake. "Bruce said you were smarter than that"
"And where is Bruce?" asked Selina sounding causal as though she and Dinah were having a everyday conversation.
"Busy with Ivy"
"Bruce is cheating on me?" Selina playfully asked.
Dinah gave her a look before she said, "Hand over the diamond and I won't haul your ass to jail"
Selina was about to say something witty when she suddenly doubled over. A tingling sensation was going off in her midsection. She felt......hungry. Real hungry.
Dinah got up from the desk. "Are you...?"
Selina grabbed Dinah's hand and shoved it into her mouth. Before the bewildered Dinah could react Selina swallowed the superheroine's entire arm.
"Hey what the....?!" Dinah managed to get out before Selina swallowed again sending Dinah's shoulder into her mouth. Dinah opened her mouth and her scream pushed Selina back out the door and onto the floor.
"What the hell were you doing?!" Dinah asked exiting the office.
Selina was on the floor apparently unconscious. Dinah stepped nearer to the downed thief when Selina lunged at her with mouth open wide. Selina had Dinah's head in the mouth. Dinah screeched again but this time the screech didn't push her back.
When Selina regained her senses she found herself back at her hideout. Her thieving attire was all ripped apart. She was reminded of those old movies where people transformed into werewolves......but that was just silly. She didn't transform into some werewolf....did she?
That's when she noticed her bloated stomach.
"What happened?!" asked Selina scrambling off the floor.
