Now ADMITTEDLY, the idea of two high school kids in small town America making babies together would make just about everybody flip out, but fortunately, Clark and Lana were able to come up with a perfect plan. After their teenage lusts had been sated, they sat together on the remains of the bed and had a good, long talk about their relationship and where to proceed from there. After everything that had happened between them, and with the possibility that Lana might be a mother in nine months, they needed a plan, and with their love and combined brain power, they got one.
First off, they were already almost out of high school by that point, so since the legal adult age was fast approaching, Lana and Clark called their parents together to discuss matters with them. At first, everyone was in utter shock over just how FAT Lana was, but before they could really get under her skin, the new couple actually got all four of them to suddenly go silent when they announced that after they graduated, they were getting married. It was perfect; they loved each other, they both knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, and with a wedding following graduation, if Lana was pregnant, they could just claim that it happened on the honeymoon. Besides, as she pointed out to Clark, her belly was so massive that no one would even notice a baby bump. So, after receiving their diplomas, the two love birds took the plunge, and Lana Lang became Mrs. Clark Kent. Everyone was so overjoyed; Clark’s parents had always adored Lana, but at one point, his father did have to point out that Clark did have aspirations of going to college to become a journalist. Fortunately though, the newlyweds thought of that to.
Despite getting the idea out of a comic book, Clark knew for certain that if a guy can get away with taking photos of himself as a superhero for money, then he and Lana could do one better; as the only two people who were able to get any interviews with Superboy, those two up and comers were welcomed to the Daily Planet with open arms. Lana didn’t think twice about following Clark into that field, as she too had her own journalistic aspirations, and was damn sure that she would be a far more competent reporter than a certain slutty brunette. However, after only six months into her career, Lana did have to take a leave of absence.
“YAY!” in the ultra-swank apartment of the best reporters in all of Metropolis, a three year old boy gleefully clapped after he arranged his blocks to spell out a big and important word, Superman. “Great job, Christopher.” His mommy said to him as she watched him from the couch, her words keeping the smile on his adorable face. Lana was grateful that her son was keeping himself occupied, because all she wanted to do right then and there was to keep sitting on her ever growing ass…even as it started to grow onto the third cushion. Lana stroked her somewhat solid looking belly after noticing that, and said “Karen, you are making mommy’s butt get even BIGGER…keep up the good work.” Lana smiled, more than happy to have another bundle of joy on the way. Speaking of joy, it was then that her supposedly mild mannered husband walked through the door.
“Honey, I’m home!” Clark announced, making Lana wonder if he was expecting a laugh track to play. Instead, Clark settled for his son running up to him, and Clark gladly lifted him up to give him a kiss. Clark carried him back towards Lana, and managed to squeeze in next to her, though he did give her a look about the tight conditions, which Lana quickly defended, “Hey, don’t look at me. Karen’s turned me into a non-stop eating machine. She’s going to be a real power girl, just like her mommy.”
“Riiiight.” Clark smirked, not buying for one second that his unborn daughter was solely responsible. However, as he let go of Christopher so he could get back to his toys, he did change the subject, “You know, everyone’s really missing you at the Planet. Perry’s actually pushing for a piece on The Batman…and personally I’m worried that he’ll try and give it to me.” Lana had to roll her eyes as once again, her husband sounded like a broke record, “Why do you have such a big problem with him?” To which Clark retorted, “Lana, the guy looks like a crazy nutjob.”
“Says the man who wears red underpants for his costume.” She smirked, and even as she got a look from Clark, Lana continued to demonstrate why she was Batman’s most vocal supporter, “Honestly, sweety, I don’t think he’s any different from other superheroes, just minus the whole superpower part of it. I know he hasn’t made a clear statement about what he’s all about like you did for my articles, heck I always hear from Vicki Vale just how frustrating it is to try and get one word out of the guy, but if you ask me, he’s not just some nut-job in costume. I think it’s a mistake to judge Batman’s presence on purely physical terms. I think it’s a symbolic resurgence of the common man’s will to resist; a rebirth of the American Soul. We live in the shadow of crime, with the unspoken understanding that we are victims of fear, of violence, of social impotence. A man has risen up to show us that the power is, and always has been, in OUR hands. He’s showing us that we can resist….now if you didn’t know who I was talking about, doesn’t it also sound like I could be talking about you instead of him?”
“…….Honey, you should be the Managing Editor for The Planet.” Clark complimented, but just as Lana smiled, an explosion rocked the city, and from outside their window, the family could see Brainiac’s ship hovering in the distance. Clark wasted no words and headed right for the window, inciting Christopher to shout, “UP! UP! AND AWAY!” As his dad flew off to do what he did best, Lana sat back and readied to do what she did best, but before she could gorge, she reflected on Clark’s words, and reflected back to the supposedly great reporter she once dined on, and smiled for the past, present and future, “Lana Kent, Managing Editor; yeah, that sounds right.”
