I am not Groot Comic Vore, GTS/GT, Shrinking, Unbirth chapter 23 by copier · original author: erik

Not all of the insects were attacking the group. Most of the insect-like bugs were running to the same entrance that the group came from. Judging from the numbers of the insectoid aliens they probably came from a nest. Gwenom ate one out of curiosity and immediately spat it out.
"Really?" asked Gwen. "you eat people but not insects?"
<I have my standards> replied Venom in Gwen's head.
"Talking with your....err...I would say better side but, in this case, I wouldn't say that.... even though I just said that" said Gwenpool.
"Do any of you think that these insect guys might be running away from something?" asked Kamala.
"Like a giant toad?" asked Jennifer.

"Can't be a giant anything" said Gwen. "that way is only two feet tall or something"
Kamala sighed. "I guess I'll check it out"

"Be careful" said Jennifer.

"Always am" said Kamala as she shrank down to two feet tall and walked into the collapsed tunnel which was pretty much a crawl space now. Fortunately there were no more insectoids. There had to have been at least a couple of thousand of those things judging from the amount that had scampered into the room where Gwenpool had been found.
Kamala made her way down the small and narrow corridor. The suit that Kamala was wearing provided light that came from an extension from her shoulder.
Kamala's new nanosuit was a gift from Tony Stark after Kamala had told what happened with the nanosuit she had gotten from outer space. To make a long story short it seemed that Kamala was the "Destined One" of an alien planet. Kamala was taken to the planet where she found a nanosuit left behind by a Kree warrior that looked an awful like Kamala. The suit seemed awesome enough until it tried to kill everyone deemed evil by some Kree law. The suit, Stromranger, had turned something akin to an evil twin. Kamala's new nanosuit was far less destructive.

"Talk to me, HAL" said Kamala to the artificial intelligence of the suit. She had named the AI after the computer in the movie 2010 after she saw the movie a few days after getting the nanosuit.
"The tunnels extend beyond my capabilities of mapping the local area" said the smooth voice of the artificial intelligence. "but I'll endeavor to do my best"

"Just tell me I'm not going to run into an alien spider" said Kamala.

"Scans indicate no such thing" said HAL.

Kamala continued down the narrow corridor. Kamala stopped short when she heard voices coming from somewhere ahead: there were two voices, both male.

"Xacandar hasn't reported in today. Which means he still doesn't know the location of the Warbound headquarters"

"Anxious are you? Patience is a virtue"

"I've been patient long enough! I want to smash something!"

"Keep your voice down. Who knows who can hear you...or what"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Exactly what I said. Who knows what lives in these dark tunnels"

"The Shadow knows..." quipped Kamala and then let loose a low spooky laugh.

"The character of The Shadow first appeared --" recited HAL but Kamala hushed him.

Kamala slowly walked down the corridor until the corridor returned to a reasonable height. Just before the corridor returned to ten feet high there was a sizable hole in the wall. As Kamala walked passed the hole in the wall a number of insectoid aliens exited the hole and went skittering both ways up and down the corridor, utterly ignoring her.
Kamala reached the end of the corridor and peeked around the corner. Down another long corridor she saw two humanoid males built like the average linebacker. The two men were eight feet tall if they were an inch and had overlarge muscles. The two men stood in a T section in the tunnel. The two looked identical save for the tattoos on their shoulders; 4 and 2.

"So where's the original?" asked 4.

"No idea" replied 2. "I haven't seen him for days"

Kamala was just about to head back to the others when a strange creature crawled out of the hole that the insectoids came from.
The creature looked to be a strange combination of dog and a lion; it was the size of a medium-sized dog and had cream-colored fur. It looked just like a dog with a thick lion-like mane of fur around its neck. It had more of a lion's build. The ears of the creature were closer to that of a bat than a dog or a lion. The eyes of the strange beast were yellowish green.
"Whoa" said Kamala as the creature sniffed around the floor. "I guess you're the one that scared those insect things, right?"
The creature continued to sniff at the ground. It was headed for the corridor that had the two men with the numbered tattoos were.

"Of course you can't talk" muttered Kamala.
The creature stopped sniffing at the ground and turned to face Kamala. "I am Knawles?"
"Whoa, you can talk!" exclaimed Kamala.
"I am Knawles" nodded the creature.
"I'm Kamala" said Kamala. "nice to meet you"
"I am Knawles"
"Err...you said that already"
"I am Knawles"
"Why do you keep saying that?" asked Kamala. "wait. Is that all you can say?"
Knawles nodded.
"Perfect" said Kamala covering her face with her palm.

<How much longer must we wait for Kamala to return?> asked Venom to Gwen.
Normally Gwen would've answered Venom but she was a bit preoccupied with thoughts about this Gwenpool person that had been in the room. Apparently this..Gwenpool was another version of her -- Gwen.
Gwen had met other versions of herself in the numerous dimensions that she had visited. Some versions were heroes, a very few were villains, and some versions had taken up the mantle of other heroes; in one far-flung dimension, she was Thor and in another dimension she was Star Lady who leaded the Guardians of the Galaxy. Still there were other dimensions where Gwen was just a normal teenager that had no drama that came with being a hero.

Gwenpool was fiddling with her phone that somehow worked on a different planet in one corner of the room.
"How does your phone work?" asked Jennifer going over to Gwenpool. "we're not on Earth. I doubt Sakaar has cell phone coverage.... or providers for that matter"

"Ah, so glad you asked" said Gwenpool in a cheery voice looking up at Jennifer. "this is no ordinary phone I have; it's an inter-dimensional phone, able to work in any dimension or any planet. I got it from Dr. Strange a few years ago"

"The master of the mystical arts has something like that?" asked Gwen.

"Why not?" asked Gwenpool. "this is the Marvel Universe we're talking about here where inter-dimensional travel is common. Wouldn't it make sense that someone would've invented a phone like this at some point? I mean Gwen over there has a watch thing that allows her to travel to other dimensions"

"I see that you're a fellow fourth wall breaker" said Jennifer.

"Oh? You're one too?" asked Gwenpool.

"Of course" said Jennifer. "I was breaking the fourth wall long before that Deadpool guy was even a glimmer"

"What are you two talking about?" asked Xacandar

"Never mind" said Gwenpool dismissively. "oh! I nearly forgot! I nabbed something else from the good doctor!"

Here, Gwenpool dug around in her backpack for long moments. Finally she pulled out a kind of hollow box thing that had a glowing green light in the middle. The green light was the size of a large marble.
"What's that?" asked Gwen.
"A spell that Doc Strange got as a reward for defending a spiritual realm...or some such" said Gwenpool. "I forget the details and that man gets into some strange stuff. Heh. Strange stuff"

"What kind of spell?" asked Jennifer.

"The kind that's absolutely perfect for this type of fanfic" said Gwenpool throwing the hollow box on the floor hard. The container broke apart and the green light exploded, flooding the room with green light. Gwenpool cackled like a maniac.
