“ah Neils” Lockheed thought, referring to the cat better known as “Hairball”. The dragon had eaten stray cats before, but never a pampered and well fed pet, which seemed very appetising to his hungry stomach right now.
He looked from side to side to see if anyone was looking, then slowly opened the door and padded slowly into Neils’s room. The cat was lying sprawled out, asleep and smelling delicious to the hungry dragon who moved closer to get a better look at his meal. “Ooh, he looks tasty” thought Lockheed, staring longingly at Neils’ stomach as it moved up and down with every slow breath the feline took. He moved around to the cat’s head and opened his jaws wide, preparing to devour him whole.
But as he did, a droplet of drool dripped down his chin and landed right on Neils’s nose, causing him to stir and awake. “uh oh…” Lockheed thought as the cat jolted awake and stared right at him accusingly.
