Carol Danvers woke with a start. She was in a total and absolute panic. Her heart was racing so fast that Carol was surprised it didn't explode from her body. Carol looked around wildly to see that she was in her room at the Avenger mansion. Moonlight spilled from the windows in the room. The room was silent....and yet some sixth sense told Carol that something must've awoken her. But what? Thunder? No. Glancing out the window told Carol that the night sky was clear. Unless Thor was off hurling lightning bolts for some reason. Was the mansion under attack? Carol sat in bed awaiting for something to happen....but nothing did.
"Okay...." muttered Carol. "What woke me up then?"
That's when Carol felt a very particular sensation in her midsection. It felt like something was moving inside her. Was something alive within her?! The sensation felt like it was coming from her womb of all places. She certainly wasn't pregnant. Carol couldn't even fathom what would happen if she got pregnant. Would she give birth to something like her: a Kree-Human hybrid? Was that even possible? Carol didn't know.
The sensation in her womb got somewhat stronger now. Something was definitely moving within her womb.
"Scott? Are you in there?" asked Carol in a soft voice, referring to Scott Lang the new Ant-Man.
No response whatsoever. Carol really didn't expect any.
Carol climbed out of bed and noticed her belly was distended. She looked to be eight or nine months pregnant.
"Okay.....so I'm suddenly pregnant" said Carol utterly bewildered while she gently rubbed her belly. "I guess I better wake some people then"
(Note: I figured you couldn't do an unbirthing story involving Carol without bringing up Avengers #200.....where Carol was pregnant with Marcus....for more information check on Linkara's review of the horrid story. I do not intend on retelling that sorry excuse of a story)
