Carol Danvers awoke with a start. She didn't recognize her surroundings straight away which caused her to panic which made her stand up. That's when she recognized the island she had been shipwrecked on just the day before. She had fallen asleep right next to the towering volcano....which wasn't that towering given Carol's new height. She looked around and then down. From her 200 foot tall vantage Carol saw that someone had left an offering of food for her.
Yesterday Carol had been shipwrecked on this island after a particularly violent hurricane. She had been on vacation somewhere in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii. Fortunately there was plenty of food and fresh water on the island. Unfortunately the fresh water had something in it that caused her to grow. It was then that Carol met the inhabitants of the island...and of course seeing a giant woman made the inhabitants think that Carol was a goddess. Not all of the inhabitants believed that of course. Carol partook in a feast for her honor and had evidently fallen asleep. She explained how she came to her new height and try to convince people that she wasn't divine but that wasn't completely successful given how she was left an offering this morning.
Shrugging Carol picked up the five huge baskets containing coconuts and other foodstuffs and easily swallowed it all down in a single gulp.
Carol looked around as she heard somebody walk up to her; it was one of the inhabitants that didn't think she was a goddess. She searched her memory for the name of the young man but failed.
"Who are you again?" asked Carol sitting down.
"Malcolm" replied the young man. "I didn't recognize you last night but I do now; you're Ms Marvel of the Avengers"
"That's right" said Carol nodding. "I'm certainly not a goddess"
"Hard not to assume that given your height..." said Malcolm.
"I suppose so" said Carol. "Thanks for the food by the way"
"So what are your plans?"
"I was thinking of returning to the Avengers to find a way to reverse this" said Carol gesturing at herself. "There's gotta be a way to shrink me back to normal"
"So soon?" asked Malcolm.
Carol looked down at Malcolm coyly. "Like to see a giant woman do you?"
Malcolm yelped. "Uh, not at all Ms Marvel"
"Call me Carol" said Carol giving a warm smile at Malcolm.
