Out Of This Aching World Neighborhood MILFs chapter 22 by copier · original author: openplantranch

James felt himself growing uneasy as he pulled on some navy shorts and a white shirt as he prepared for bed, hopping onto his mattress without any excitement for the coming days.

Why, you ask? Well it all starts with a simple heart deficiency. James's heart would basically give out if he was exposed to any level of stress or high adrenaline situation, meaning that leaving his house, attending school, and even going to bed at night required medication to be on standby, less he felt like risking his life. This was also compounded by his inability to eat average or high levels of sugar or salt either. It wasn't something he was exactly happy about, and his mom would often joking call him an "old man".

And this was a problem because the senior student body had all been invited to Jimmy Churner's personal party at his own home. Everyone who was a senior could come and drink their heart out, dive into the pool outside, and party until the sun came back up.

Everyone, except for James of course.

He was stuck thinking about all of these things, the thoughts brewing into a sick combination in his head as he thought more and more about it. It didn't help that his birthday was the very next day, checking his phone he realized that it was only ten minutes away in fact. The day would have been perfect if he had been hanging out with his friends and acquaintances for it, but instead he would have to settle with hanging out with the older women in his neighborhood the next day instead. A fine trade-off sure, but one he still disliked since he could have done both instead.

Those thoughts didn't stay as just thoughts for long however, they quickly started to become words instead. "Why... why is this my life?" He spoke to himself, chuckling at the absurdity of everything. "I can't hang out with my friends, instead I get to hang out with their moms instead." He finished, conveniently forgetting to mention that he was pretty familiar with some of the mothers.

"I wish..." He spoke softly, his eyes lowering as sleep slowly took him down. "I wish I could leave this life, I wish I could live another life for as long as I want." Finishing with a slight sigh, the last thoughts he had before falling asleep was the thought of being unsatisfied.

However, life always had a funny way of working things out.

Flying high, leaving a beautiful trail of orange and blue, was a shooting star. The local news constantly reported on it, but James didn't even know it would occur since he wasn't much of a news fan, neither was his mom. Many individuals had been outside to wish upon the star, even some of the party goers halfway across town joking wished on it.

But the one wish that it responded to was the wish of one slumbering high school guy. The local clocks hitting twelve as his wish slowly started being fulfilled.

First, his body started glowing blue. A sensation he felt in his sleep as he mumbled in protest.

Second, a strong warmth started to emanate from his body, almost like a space heater. The entire room increasing in temperature as his body grew brighter and brighter, almost turning snow white in color.

Finally, the light from the room grew so bright that it almost became blinding, the walls of the room flashing white momentarily as the light grew into a parade of flashing lights. Until, finally, everything died down.

Now, for the untrained eye, the room looked exactly the same before it had been turned into a laser light show. The guy who'd been turned into a light bulb layed still, breathing slowly and quietly as he had been before.

Except, that wasn't the only thing in the room. A mirror copy of the unconscious room resident floated above the bed, his form shining nearly completely white as he suddenly realized that he wasn't asleep anymore, which isn't something he normally woke up to.

"What... what is this...?" He mumbled in shocked surprise, not exactly sure as to why he was now wide awake, or why he was floating above his bed. The answer quickly coming to him as he looked down, seeing a familiar head of brown hair poking out from underneath a familiar blanket. "What the hell?!" He yelled out, only to have a greater shock hit him as he heard his voice, which sounded like it had been put through an echoing microphone.

The shock turned into disbelief as he looks further downwards, finding that his form was shining and was slightly transparent. "Is this... am I dead?!' He screamed in horror, falling over himself in shock, which translated to nearly flipping upside-down in his ghostly form.

It took almost a full minute of struggling (and a whole lot of cursing) before James pulled himself upright again. Staring down at himself again while flexing his now paler fingers. "This can't be happening... I need to talk with someone!" He shouted out, awkwardly maneuvering his new form over to the window with a mock doggy paddle until he tried reaching for the nob, only to fall through the wooden block entirely.

Question is... who did he visit for a "conversation"?
