“Oh of course, you sweet thing,” Paula cooed. “Can I get a look at that big frog there?” She pointed to the stationary, ever watchful Pac Man Frog.
“Of course, ma’am.” The clerk began telling Paula all of the details about the frog, most of which she’d already read on the info card.
“Tell me about what this chubby little guy eats,” Paula said, trying her best to sound genuinely curious. James knew Paula had already read about it, and he squirmed uncomfortably between her nearly suffocating breasts, knowing that she just wanted to hear about it again.
“Well,” the saleswoman began, “these frogs have a very diverse diet. They’ll eat most things they can fit in their mouths. Most of their diet tends to be bugs, but the occasional goldfish or mouse can be good for them. When they’re eating live prey, they usually swallow it in a couple gulps, and they have some tiny teeth around their lips. So most things don’t make it into their bellies alive, but some of their prey does. Be careful you don’t overfeed them; in the wild they’ll stuff themselves as full as possible in case they don’t find food for a while.”
“What a wonderful animal. He and I have a lot in common, if you can’t tell,” Paula used her hands to raise her paunch of a belly and let it fall. This clearly made the saleswoman uncomfortable, and James was tossed around so much he nearly flew out of his mother’s shirt.
“So, uh,” the clerk fidgeted, “are you interested in taking this guy home with you today?”
Paula grinned and nodded, “Yeah, he sounds like just the pet for me.”
“Do you need any housing for him?” the clerk asked.
“Oh no, honey. I’m already equipped to store a wide variety of animals,” Paula chortled, furthering the clerk’s (and James’) discomfort. The saleswoman didn’t know what was wrong with Paula, but she sure was odd. James, on the other hand, knew exactly what she meant and why she thought it was so funny – though it was far from funny for James.
“Alright then, I’ll get you a box to bring him home.” The clerk walked off.
Paula angled her head down towards her chest. “You hear that, baby? Momma’s getting some carryout tonight.”
Paula walked over to the tank and leaned over it to get a better look at the frog. She took in the aroma of the large frog and her mouth started to water.
As she bent over, James began slipping out from between her breasts. He scrambled to try and hold on, but the sweat that had collected in her cleavage left him with no hope. He plummeted from his mother’s bosom and landed in the slightly damp sand inside the frog’s tank.
The frog was partially buried in the sand, but it suddenly twitched and turned towards James. He was uncomfortably close to the creature who was twice as wide as James was tall. He didn’t want to find out just how big that creature was on the inside. He began trying to escape through the mushy sand.
“Oops. Sorry about that, baby. Just wanted to spend some quality time with my entrée, huh?”
