Mary drew close to the miniscule boy, eyes beaming with a look James was all too familiar with. He'd seen it on various animals. A look of predatory hunger. "Now sugar, I know you probably think I forgot about our little beer incident. But when a gal's drunk, she don't think too carefully." James was well aware of where this was going.
