“Our next flight will get you there by noon tomorrow,” the clerk explains, through the options on her computer.

“What?!” the woman protests. “I need to get there by today.”

“Well, let’s see…” the clerk responds, typing quickly on her computer.

That’s what they were saying while you tried flagging down the clerk, but she is too busy searching through options to register. The agitated woman, however, locks eyes on you, and quickly grabs you in her fist.

“You know, I think it’ll be fine. Just put me on whatever,” she states suddenly.

“You mean Flight 343 with an arrival at 12:03 pm tomorrow?” the clerks confirms.

“Yes, yes,” the woman suddenly interjects as if trying to quickly get through the process.

“Ok great. Sorry again for the inconvenience,” the clerk continues, typing again on the computer and eventually reaching for the ticket she printed. “Here’s everything you need.”

The woman grabs the paper with her other hand and rushes out with you towed in her fist. You can hear her speeding through the airport but cannot see where she’s going. Eventually, she opens up her fist and places you onto her lap. You notice that you’re in a quiet corner of the airport, far away from the crowd of rescheduled passengers.
