She closes you in her palm. You wait in darkness and anxiety to see what her plan is. She drops you into her purse. You stay there as you hear her get ready and eventually head out.

After several minutes, she opens her purse, and reaches for you. She plops you on what looks like a large counter. Looking around you see several birds, reptiles (which eye you hungrily), and a couple cats and dogs in kernels, as well as food and supplies for each of these. You realize that you are in a pet store.

She talks with the woman behind the counter, who appears to be in her mid-twenties in French. They periodically look down at you, so you know they are discussing you. You wish you knew what they were saying.

Eventually, they conclude. The woman gives Fatimah some money, and Fatimah waves goodbye to you.

“What’s going on?!” you protest.

“You’ll be in better hands than you would with me,” Fatimah explains. “I wish you the best.”

You try to shout back at her, but she’s already at the door. You run towards her screaming as she leaves. You catch your breath and turn to the giant pet store owner who had been observing at you run across her counter, thinking of what to do with you…
