Truce Shrunk in an airport chapter 9 by Louka31

The woman walks over to you and sits next to you.

"Look, I know I'm the one that got you into this mess." the woman says to you. "But our best shot at getting out of this is to work together."

"Why should I trust you?" you ask, still angry.

"Because I want to get out of this as much as you do, and logically speaking I have nothing to gain from betraying you." the woman responds as a matter of factly. "No doubt my boss will alert the higher ups of my mistake and will want nothing more to do with me, so I can't make any money off you. So truce?"

You realize that she has a point and you begrudgingly look up at her.

"All right, truce." you say reluctantly.

"Excellent. My name is Emily by the way. What's yours?"

You tell her your name.

"That's a nice name, now let's find a way to get out of here. We don't have much time, it won't be long until we are loaded onto a plane and sent to God knows where"

"I think I may have an idea" you say.

"What is it?" Emily asks.

"When you shrunk me, everything in my pocket shrank too including my keys. I may be able to use one as a saw"

Emily goes over to the wall to feel the material.

"It's made of cardboard!" she exclaims. "Man, they must not be a smart as I thought"

With no time to lose, you run over to the wall and start sawing away with your house key as Emily cheers you on. After what seems like no time, you saw a hole right through your container. Light rushes in as you and Emily take your first breath of freedom that you two had for what seemed like forever. You're so happy that you've found a way out that you forget to be cross at Emily.
