You sit in Pam’s soft palm as she starts talking.

“I have no idea how you got this way” she states. “I just saw you on the floor on the way to my flight. At first, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I saw you all alone and helpless so I picked you up and put you in my purse to keep you from being stepped on. I then thought that you need a big lovely lady like myself to protect you from the big bad world. Plus, ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted a little man as a pet. So I decided to adopt you. Now here we are.”

You were in shock. You didn’t know what to think. She obviously had good intentions but you didn’t want to be her pet.

“I appreciate your concern for my safety but I’m a grown man, I have my own life, and I can take care of myself. I need to find a way to get unshrunk.”

“You were a grown man” replies Pam insistently. “Now you’re tiny and you need big people to make decisions for you” she says with the same cutesy voice,

“But!” You start.

“No buts! You’re my little pet now. I promise I’ll take care of you. You will get used to this.” Pam says in a sweet tone with growing enthusiasm.

“But I’m a human being god damnit!” You shout in growing frustration.

“Awww, looks like someone needs a nap.” Pam coos.

Before you can say another word she picks you up with her thumb and index finger and brings you to her face.

“Put me down this instant!” You shout. It’s no use. She just thinks you’re adorable as you squirm and shout between her fingers. You are aloft for almost a minute as Pam is making a makeshift bed for you in her purse with her free hand. She then gives you a soft kiss and gently lowers you into her bag and zips you up.

You are furious with how you are being treated as a baby. You also are terrified at the thought of this being your new life.
