Shrunk in an airport
chapter 18

You've had enough of being around giant people today and all you want to do is find a nice secluded location and rest. You look out and see that all the foot traffic is gone and that there's a nice dark row of seats at the farthest end of the gate. Even more secluded than the place you're currently in. However, the woman charging her phone is still there, her legs planted right in front of your path. You slowly walk to the edge of your safe haven right between the woman's legs and look out at the empty gate. You realize it's nighttime and that most of the flights have come and gone for the day. Still, you wonder why that woman is still there.
Brushing off the thought, you see rows of seats all the way to your end goal that you can use as checkpoints to catch your breath and hide from anyone who may be in the area. You figure your only problem is the woman who's sitting right about you. You have no idea if she's alert or not. You take a deep breath and hope she isn't.
You begin to sprint to your first checkpoint as fast as your little legs could carry you. You don't look back, you're scared enough as it is. However, the realization that nobody has spotted you yet does force a smile out of you. Suddenly, you hear a familiar boom. Then another, and another. Soon the ground begins to shake as the booms get louder and louder. Your heart nearly jumps out of your chest as you realize that the woman must've got up and is heading straight towards you. You run as fast as you can hoping she's not coming for you.
