You hold your breath and look up. The mom doesn’t see you. You’re too small to be noticed by someone who is focusing on a book. Still, you proceed with great caution to make sure you aren’t detected.

Soon you reach the mom’s knee. This is it. You think to yourself. You have no choice but to slide down her leg and hope to God she doesn’t notice you. You glance up, cross your heart, and slide down her leg.

You make it down safely and immediately glance up to see Anne’s mom hadn’t moved a muscle. You let out a sigh of relief and run toward the aisle. You make it to the aisle just passed Anne’s mom’s seat and you conclude you have two options for your next move.
