"I'm afraid it's not that simple, sweetie" says Natalie, finally.

You're a bit taken aback by her statement. You were kidnapped and made an unwilling pet to a controlling business woman. And now you're begging for help from an impressionable intern. Seems pretty simple to you.

"Not that simple?" you say, with growing irritation. "What isn't simple about this?"

"Well, this is my first internship and I really want to make a good impression on Nicole. If I let her pet loose, that wouldn't make a good impression would it?" says Natalie

You can't believe what you're hearing. Natalie knows that you don't want to be Nicole's pet and you finally were able to get her listen. But she cares more about getting ahead in her career and kissing up to her boss than helping you get out of this situation.

"Besides" continues Natalie, slowly regaining her peppy intern voice. "I highly doubt anyone would know how to unshrink you. If I took you to a scientist or a doctor, they'd probably want to run all sorts of scary experiments on you or something. You'll have a nice and easy life with Nicole. I am willing to concede that she is a bit unorthodox, but I know she's crazy about you."

"I don't doubt that..." you mutter.

"You'll see, you'll get used to it sweetie. And I will take such good care of you that I'll be able to see you more often and Nicole will think I'm great!"

Your heart sinks. You were certain you had gained her sympathy but she is too focused on her career to help you.
