As you find even footing on the top of the purse you look down to see you and the purse is in the woman’s lap. Your heart sinks as you slowly look up. You’re a little relieved to see the woman wearing a headset and reading a book.

“She’s not paying attention” you think. “I still have a chance.”

She also has the row to herself which lowers the risk of someone next to her seeing you. Your next move is to look out the window. You see the plane is still parked at the gate. This lifts your spirits further as you start to climb down her purse.

You hesitate to step foot on her lap. This is the moment she could see you. Eventually, with all the courage you can muster, you do it. You look up with relief to see she still hasn’t spotted you.

You realize your next move will be hard. You come to the conclusion that there are two options: you can either climb down the woman’s blouse and then jump to the ground. Or you can jump to the next seat over and find another way down. Both are equally risky, but you have to choose quickly. You see the stewardesses closing the overhead bins preparing for take off.
