Opening your eyes, you stared around, eyes wide in shock.
You were still in space but you were surrounded by...spaceships. Huge, shimmering spaceships of all sorts of strange shapes and sizes, mostly black, with some grey.
"Whoa," Josh thought, seeing things through your eyes. "Amazin'."
You had to agree. The armada seemed to stretch forever, with a range of nearby planets all seeming to have spaceships departing and arriving on them. You just stared. For now, all thoughts of getting home were abandoned.
"I agree," came Josh's smug voice in your head. "Let's have a look at this."
Without warning, Josh had you soar towards the biggest of the ships, a dark grey behemoth which to you seemed to be the size of a city on Earth. He could see that smaller ships were leaving and entering it regularly, so it was the best way to slip inside. A hangar opened and a smaller frigate emerged, allowing you to slip inside. The hangar was enormous and lacking characteristics; it was very spartan and bare, featuring only a few crates and various equipment to help dock the ships. You couldn't really make sense of it. You moved on until reaching the door; again, without warning Josh shrank you so small that you could fit through the cells of it, coming out the other side and returning you to one inch in height. He was using you as a character in a VR game. It was unnerving, but kind of hot.
You had emerged in a long, grey corridor. There were various corners nearby and you felt very exposed. "Am I unnoticeable?" you thought loudly.
"Oh, shit," Josh exclaimed, turning the setting on. "Good thinking."
"Didn't feel like getting captured by aliens today."
"I gotcha covered," he replied.
Just in time, too, as you heard the familiar booming footsteps of a giant entity approaching around a corner. You held your breath, barely able to believe that you were soon to meet a giant alien. The entity rounded the corner and...
