"Let me go first," you cut in, indicating the bracelet. You were going to give him an edited version of the truth; you did NOT want Josh trying to investigate the portal dimension. "You shrunk me out of reality, so I ended up back in time, or in an alternate universe, or something. Either way, I was able to find this on another version of me, a past version of me, lying dead in my room. Her head had exploded. Looks like she grew her brain and not her body. Not a pretty sight."

Josh spoke in his raspy voice. "You-you-what?"

"I don't know what to tell you. But look, that's not the most important thing, Josh."

He stared at you, too confused to be angry.

"I've got a bracelet too now. Josh, we need to be careful. If we try and use it on each other...I don't know what happens. These bracelets break all known laws of science. If they give contradictory instructions...you might tear a whole in spacetime, or something."

Josh spoke up now. "So I can't play with you anymore, eh?"

"'Afraid not," I said. "But on the plus side...we can rule together. Do what we want with this world. How does that sound?"
