“Get out,” Zara snarled with my voice, the words choked. “This instant.” My old body trembled with a fury so pure it seemed to radiate heat.

I ignored her, too captivated by the smooth curve of my new hip. I slid a hand down, marveling at the sleek muscle beneath the skin. A shiver of delight ran through me.

“Stop that!” she barked. “Stop pawing at my form like it’s a new toy!”

“It is a new toy,” I murmured, my new voice a husky delight. I brought my hands up to cup my breasts, my thumbs brushing over the sensitive peaks. A soft, involuntary moan escaped my lips. The sensation was utterly consuming.

“You disgusting mortal,” she seethed. She took a step forward, my old legs wobbling. “The magic is a covenant with the spirit, not the flesh. I am still the genie. But the rules prevent me from directly reversing a wish, even this… this violation.” She glared, impotent rage in her eyes. “You are a tourist in a temple you don’t understand.”

“It’s a very nice temple,” I said, letting my hands trail down my stomach again, fascinated by the lack of hair, the softness. “And you’re stuck in a crumbling shack. Seems like a good reason to negotiate.”

“Negotiate? There is no negotiation! That is my body!”

“And this was my life,” I countered, finally looking at her directly. “A tired, lonely, ending life. You offered me a way out. I took it. I’m not giving it back.” To emphasize the point, I let my fingers trace the inside of my thigh, another jolt of pleasure making me gasp. “Ohh! The sensitivity is… incredible.”

She looked away, a gesture of profound disgust that was strange on my own face. “You have no idea what you’re doing. That body requires maintenance. It has needs, hungers you can’t comprehend.”

“Oh, I'm starting to comprehend,” I said, feeling a thrill of power that had nothing to do with magic. I had the one thing she wanted, and she was powerless to take it. “So, what’s your offer? What can you, a powerless genie in an old man’s body, possibly give me that’s better than this?”

She fell silent, my old shoulders slumping in defeat. The negotiation had begun, but I held all the desirable cards.
