"How about a movie? It's been a while since we last had a family outing." Diana's father suggested.
"That actually sounds quite nice, plus the drive in costs less." Diana's mother smiled. "What do you think Diana?"
The kaiju girl also smiled, it had been a minute since all three of them did something together. "Sounds fun. I'm in."
With the family of three in a agreement, Diana began her trek to the drive in. Unfortunately for the denizens down below that meant her unavoidable path of destruction would continue.
From the safety of their daughter's palm Diana's mother and father did their best to ignore the noise down by their daughter's feet. Their was the usual sound of something breaking, shattering, or being compressed, along with the usual stream of car horns and curses.
"Watch where your going Gigantor!" someone shouted while a few shied away.
"You wrecked my scooter freak!" another shouted.
"Sorry." Diana apologized. While they knew she wouldn't lash out at the insults thrown her way, it took everything Diana's parents had not to do so on her behalf. They had more than once in the past and it was the pleading of their daughter that got them to stop.
"You shouldn't have to constantly apologize." Diana's mother began. "None of this is your fault."
"Yeah. It's not like you mean to smash some of the city, it's completely unavoidable." her father reasoned.
Diana in tern gave them a sad smile. "I know and it's okay. Also I think I see the drive in coming up."
The family did their best to ignore the less than pleasant civilians in favor of the drive in. It looked like it was going to packed since it was monster move night and the sun appeared to be going down.
Because of her size watching normal TV was out the question, but giant movie screenings were something she could do. It also helped that the drive in was more than large enough to accommodate her 80ft frame.
"Diana? Why don't you put us down and go find a seat while I pay for the flick?" Her father suggested, to which she obliged. She gently lowered her parents to the ground and walked into the center of the drive, taking extra care not to accidently crush any cars or people nearby. Thankfully she found a spot she could sit as a few patrons had the sense to back their cars up when they saw her coming.
"I wonder what's playing." Diana wondered as she felt something poker her foot. Sure enough it was her parents with bags of popcorn. Lowering her hand to let them up, Diana's placed her parents on her shoulder to get comfortable. "What's playing?" she asked.
"Some old horror movie." her mother answered.
"The real horror here was the ticket prices." her father joked. "Popcorn?"
"That sounds nice." Diana smiled as she opened her mouth for her father to thrown popcorn in. She couldn't really taste it due to her size, but it was still a nice gesture.
The sun soon vanished however, and the last of the cars pulled in.
It was time to watch a movie.
