The Alice in Wonderland poster crinkled away, revealing a warzone of chips, cracks and scratches. But amongst them was a crevice just wide enough to fit a tiny teenager.

And all the clues fell into place.

“See, the plan was to make a hole big enough so I could escape,” Niamh smiled sadly. “It’s amazing what you can manage with enough determination. Problem is… I didn’t manage.”

“And you want me to risk my life in there instead?” Jess grimaced. “Who knows where it’ll end up?”

“I think it goes down to the sewers,” Niamh said. “I know, I know, sewers stink. But sewers also lead out beyond these walls. That means you can escape from here. Tell everyone about this sick hellhole. Free the rest of us!”

“Uh huh.” Jess folded her arms. “Say this all works and I don’t just get stuck in there. Who’s gonna believe me when I say there’s an evil torture prison where you get shrunk down and used as sex slaves?”

“Uh. You’re like four inches tall. That’ll help your case I’m sure.”

“O-oh yeah…” Jess groaned. “Welp, it’s better than nothing. If I get outta here safely, don’t get eaten by some weird animal, don’t just get thrown back in here, yadda yadda… I’ll see what I can do to help the rest of you. Sound good?”

“That’s all I can ask for,” Niamh smiled. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone.”

“And ruin your own dumb plan?” Jess smirked up at her, “here, gimme a hand.”

It took a moment for Niamh to cotton on, but she eventually knelt down so Jess could jump onto her hand, and was gently lifted up again.

“Thanks. Woulda been there all night climbing by myself,” Jess muttered. Sliding on leg into the crevice, she swallowed heavily. “Oh, and one more thing?”

“Mm?” Niamh leant in close, only for Jess to push her face between the bigger girl’s lips in what must’ve been a kiss of some sort.

“Thanks for being a bro.” Jess winked, before disappearing into the hole.

Meanwhile Niamh had gone as red as her hair.
