The tall trees and nigh endless shrubbery were excellent for some early morning training. The fifty-foot-tall Kaiju woman, Razor lived up to her nickname and used her razor-sharp claws to surgically cleave those trees in to. The shrubs were safe either as all it took was the tip of her fingernail to bisect them as well.
"I'm definitely getting better. I can make the same kind of cuts more consistently now." She spoke to herself. While she was still green, she wasn't as clumsy anymore. All the time she spent training was really starting to show. "Even still, I should keep on practicing until this is second nature to me."
So that's what she did. She remained rooted in the clearing she had made her for herself and continued to train. Each tree that fell wouldn't go to waste as it would be sent off to craftsmen or the local lumberyard. Her father had taught her long ago to never be wasteful.
Hours ticked by and the giantess began to sweat. So far, she'd taken down more than enough trees and shrubs, but she still felt as if she should make three more cuts before calling it quits. "Alright Rekea, three more good ones."
The first cut was a on a tree that was split in two right down the middle. The second cut was a small bush that no doubt was littered with poison berries. Again, it was a perfect cut right down the middle. Lastly was a huge boulder off to the side. It never stood a chance. It turned into pebbles after meeting her claws.
"No bad, Rekea. Not bad at all." She complimented herself after wiping the sweat from her brow. She never asked to become a giant with these strange and bizarre abilities, but this was the hand fate had delt her and she might as well put her gifts to good use. She'd be no good to anyone if she accidentally sliced them in half.
That was actually a scary thought and one that haunted her nightmares very early on. She was a kind and down to earth kind of gal and she'd never forgive herself if she unintentionally killed someone. Doctor Vector would probably be pleased but less said about the mad scientist the better.
"At least he's locked up and can't hurt anyone." She whispered.

Meanwhile in Upper Manhattan and a small family diner, a bald man with round rim glasses and a graying goatee was enjoying a nice plate of bacon and eggs with black coffee. To the side was the local paper he had been reading and on the tv there was breaking new.
MAD SCIENTIST ESCAPES MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON!
The man had just about finished his plate when a beautiful blonde waitress kindly addressed him. "Is there anything else I can get you today, sir?"
"The check please." He smiled kindly.
The waitress nodded. "Coming right up."
"Thank you." The man waved her off and finished his coffee. "She looks like an excellent candidate."
