(Guard station I Location Unknown, 11:30pm)
"Shit, it's freezing out here." Guard A complained.
"Suck it up, Spike." Guard B replied back.
The two had been standing guard out in the dead of night for hours and the began to feel the cold nip at their heels. If there was one thing Spike hated it was the cold and the fact that he and his partner had to stand guard over the wall.
"Sorry, Wallace. It's just... I hate being out here." Spike apologized.
"It's alright, I understand. I complaining ain't gonna get the job done faster."
"I know." Spike sighed.
The two continued to converse as the cool wind brushed across their faces and the still calm over the ocean nearby reflected the light of the full moon.
"So, what are we supposed to be guarding anyway?" Spike asked. "I'm not a regular here some I'm curious. I tried asking around but everyone else's been to tight lipped that I'm beginning to think whatever we're protecting is top secret."
"Ha. You could say that." Wallace grinned.
"Well...?" Spike pushed, his curiosity peaked.
Wallace just continued to grin. "Well I could tell you... but then I'd have to kill you."
Silence hung in the air before the pair started laughing. "No you didn't." Spike smiled.
Wallace simply shrugged his shoulder. "Come on, you set me up for that one."
"Maybe..." Spike chuckled, trying to calm down. "But seriously, what are we guarding."
"Let's just say it's some next level stuff." Wallace said with the upmost seriousness in his voice.

"Do you remember the objectives?" A female voice echoed.
*Head nod*
"The mission objectives are as fallows: 1) Eliminate all hostiles, 2) Retrieve the McGuffin, and 3) Rendezvous at the extraction point. Am I clear?"
*Growl of acknowledgment*
"Good. Mission start in 3... 2... 1!"
