"Hmm? Maybe I'll just stay on the island today." Haruka sighed as she lied back on the sand. It wasn't everyday she got to have some personal time to herself, so she was going to enjoy every last second of it.
The 160ft Kaiju girl placed her arms behind her head and shut her eyes, talking in the cool breeze and the sun's rays. It felt nice to feel the waves crash against her feet and hear the calls of birds.
Normally her everyday life consisted of car horns, sirens, and the sounds of big business, but today there would be none of that. Just her and the beach. Nothing to get in the way of her Haruka time.
"Haruka sweetie!?" a familiar voice rang. She opened her eyes and turned her head to see her mother waving at her. She was dressed in a bikini top and skirt with flip-flops.
"Hey there, was there something you needed?"
"Your father and I just finished making some lemonade. Would you like some?" her mother offered.
Haruka smiled. Lemonade on a warm day at the beach sounded perfect. "That'd be great!"
The older woman smiled. "Great, I'll be back in a bit."
"Thank you." Haruka grinned as her mother walked off. Once she was gone the kaiju girl sighed and closed her eyes once more. This really was a great day to relax.
A shame she didn't get a lot of days like these...
