Evenly Matched Girlzilla: Giantess Monsters 2.0 chapter 39 by copier · original author: penslayer5

A loud crash could be heard throughout the base as the alarms finally stopped blaring. The two Kaiju's Haruka and YAGYU were deadlocked in a test of strength. Despite her scientific modifications this fight wasn't like before, the cyborg couldn't push her back. "How are you doing this?"

"I have to protect my family." She answered seriously, struggling to push YAGYU back. "I'm sorry for what I did to you, Yoshiko. But I can't let you stop from stopping the bad guys!"

"You are the bad guy!" Yoshiko shouted before rolling back and taking Haruka with her. The Kaiju girl didn't see this move coming and was monkey flipped into the back wall behind her, reducing to rubble and crushing a few fleeing scientists. "You're a threat to national security and I'm just doing my part."

Haruka groaned as she sat up, glaring daggers into her former bully. "These people want to hurt us and use us as weapons! They don't care if anyone lives or dies. You don't care either!"

YAGYU pulled an energy sword from her back. "That's not true. I care about you and how loudly you're going to scream when I cut your arms and legs off. HYAH!"

Haruka quickly rolled out of the way of a swift overhead slash that cut into the ceiling and cleaved the ground. A large explosion rang out as a result and fire was now rapidly spreading through the area, locking the pair in a ring of flame. Knowing she needed a weapon, the more experienced giant ran her fist into the wall and pulled out a large metal support beam which collapsed more of the ceiling, sending soldiers and people into the inferno.

"And you say I don't care about people. That was pretty cold blooded if you ask me." Yoshiko taunted as her helmet opened up to reveal her face.

"That was an accident!" Haruka tried to argue.

"Maybe, but you certainly didn't try reach your arms out and save them. You let them all die. You let them all burn." Yoshiko smiled.

Haruka felt her resolve waver. It's true. She didn't reach out and save them when she could. She had a split second, and she wasn't slow. Why didn't she save them? "I... I-I..."

"Oh, what's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" Yoshiko continued to tease as she raised her sword. "Don't worry, Junko can make you a new one."

While the fight continued, Ken and Makoto continued to run through the facility looking for a way out. The patriarch of the family tried to go after Sakurai but thought better of it when the man pulled a pistol from his blazer.

"Ken, do you even know where we're going?" Mako asked, already knowing the answer.

"No, but any where's better than being stuck with Sakurai and Junko." He answered. Mako agreed.

The B.L.A.C.K facility was in ruins. Corpses and rubble literally littered the halls, as well as blood and shredded scraps of metal. The emergency lights were off now as backup power kicked in and it only highlighted the carnage they'd wrought.

"Despite everything, I hope Tanaka's alright." Mako suddenly spoke.

"Me too. If he can find the evidence to take this place down, I'll but him a steak." Ken joked.

"Wine too." Mako smiled. She admittedly like wine a lot.

"Yeah, honey. Lots of wine."
