Haruka eyed the office complex before her hungrily. It was a rather large and ugly white building that stood chest high with her. She remembered seeing it more than a few times when she was smaller and parents told her it's where boring suits went to file papers. Oh, and the pay sucked.
That was more than enough motivation for her to destroy it. Anything as boring, oppressing, and ugly as this place had to go. The giantess grinned as she cracked her knuckles. It was time to play.
She casually walked up to the aged structure and ran her hand across the smooth roof. Even though the building was smaller than her, it was still much wider. It would take time to destroy this, and she honestly didn't mind. She was about to put on a show.
Haruka took a deep breath... and shot a wave of flame at the structure.
The roof instantly caught fire which caused the giant to smirk. She jovially skipped around the building, causing small tremors on ground below. She then raised her hand up and smashed the side of the tower.
The people on the ground were in awe of the destruction. Watching Harukazilla go to work was like watching a great matador. She was damn sure good at what she did.
"Good riddance I say." Watanabe sighed as he watched Harukazilla start to level the offending building.
"I concur." a nearby civilian agreed. "I worked there for ten years and the pay sucked!"
Well that didn't matter now as Haruka drove her foot through the building's core, leaving behind a massive hole. Surprisingly though the building held. Everyone half expected that kick to make the structure crumble. But no, it continued to stand tall.
Haruka clicked her teeth. This building was a lot tougher than she gave it credit for. She was trying to level the building in one hit. Well there went that plan. Fine, if the building wanted to be difficult than the show would continue.
Haruka drew her arm back and gave the building a sort of karate chop.
The burning structure offered little resistance to the blow and began to tremble. Fire roared through the openings and cracks but yet again the structure refused to fall.
"That's one tough old bird." Watanabe commented with wide eyes. Normally whatever Harukazilla hit fell down.
"You can say that again." A construction crew member answered back. "They don't make'em like this anymore."
Haruka was getting rather annoyed now. She'd kicked, chopped, and even set this building on fire and yet it simply refused to crumble. What was this building originally, some sort of nuclear fallout shelter?
It was ruining her reputation.
The Kaiju growled and took a massive step back. There was no way she'd let this building embarrass her any further. It was coming down now. Haruka dug her feet into the ground... and charged.
The building couldn't hold on any longer and Haruka smashed her way through. The tower was little more than rubble and broken glass now, as it should've been.
Haruka turned to face her adoring public and yelled, "Ta-da!"
Silence.

The crowed began to shower her with praise. No doubt the internet will tell the story of the giant versus the tower for weeks to come.

"Not bad, freak."
