Comics Shop Theories
The Remote of Transformation

Paul was pretty sure he’d just seen the big safety vest and tool belt duck into the comic book store on the upper level. Heart pounding (and tits jiggling), Paul pushed through the glass door.
The store was dimly lit, posters of superheroes and scantily clad heroines on every wall. But instead of the usual quiet nerd haven, it was a cluster of confused, gesturing figures.
No construction worker in sight. The remote wasn’t here either.
What he found instead were four guys who had clearly all been body-swapped into random mall bodies… and they were deep in wild speculation.
A short, chubby Asian woman in yoga pants and a sports bra was pacing, gesturing with delicate hands. “Okay, hear me out — it’s obviously a government psy-op. They released some kind of nanobot swarm through the AC vents. This is how they test mass mind control before the big rollout. The tits are just to distract us!”
Next to her, a tall, lanky Black man in a business suit nodded vigorously, adjusting his tie with long fingers. “Nah, nah, you’re thinking too small. This is alien tech. Classic Grey abduction scenario, but upgraded. They’re harvesting our psychic energy through the swap trauma. The random gender stuff is to break our egos. Classic divide-and-conquer.”
A third nerd in the body of a middle-aged soccer mom with frizzy blonde hair, mom jeans, and a “World’s Okayest Mom” t-shirt leaned against a display case, arms crossed under average C-cups. “Both wrong. It’s a simulation glitch. We’re all NPCs in some advanced VR game and the devs just pushed a bad update. The remote is probably an admin console that glitched out. If we can find the ‘console’ again we can type in /reset or something.”
A petite redheaded girl in a tight crop top and mini-skirt was sitting on the floor surrounded by scattered comics. “Simulation? Aliens? Amateur hour. This is clearly a wizard. Some neckbeard sorcerer in his mom’s basement got ahold of real magic and decided to fuck with the mall because he’s mad about diversity in comics. The hot bodies are his spank bank material. We’re all just collateral damage in his coomer ritual.”
They all turned as Paul entered.
Yoga-pants girl blinked. “Whoa… new arrival. You got swapped too? What’s your theory, hot stuff?”
Paul opened his plump lips, then closed them. These guys were so far off base it was almost impressive. He needed the construction worker — and the remote — not a debate club full of wrong answers.
“Uh… actually I’m looking for a big bearded guy in a safety vest and tool belt,” Paul said. “Have any of you seen him come through here?”
Soccer-mom adjusted imaginary glasses that weren’t there. “See? Classic misdirection tactic. The ‘big strong man’ body is probably where the admin console ended up. We should split up and —”
Crop-top interrupted, staring openly at Paul’s bouncing chest. “Damn, they really went all out on some of these avatars. Respect.”
Paul sighed. He had to get out of here before these conspiracy nerds roped him into their theories… or worse, started asking for his “lore.” But the construction worker definitely wasn’t in the store. Paul would have to keep searching the chaotic mall, curvy body and all.
