There, I will show you, as well as I explain the matter to you, my cute Sam.” Is Kanela’s reply, before she starts to walk away from the village, more specifically towards the east, in the process passing across several houses, where you see many villagers starting to come out from as a horn is sounded from the village center; most likely, is a way to call everyone to gather to better help preparing the Welcoming party, where you will be the main and core participant!

She thein points towards the distance with one of her fingers, allowing you to focus on something: soon enough, you realize that the thing she is pointing at is another island, around the same size as the one you are currently on; once you noticed it, you gawk in amazement as you realize there are other islands, going all the way into the horizon: you actually find yourself in an entire Archipelago!

Kanela giggles as she notices your reaction, assuming correctly what is driving your amazement, but just in case, she explains:

“As you have now realized, this Island is one of many within what my people have come to call “The Gigantropic Archipelago” or “The Archipelago” for short: each Island is inhabited by a larger or smaller variety of Anthros such as myself, where everything is far larger that the world beyond “The Cloud Ridge” that serves as the limit between here and wherever you come from; over generations the humans that have arrived in our islands have devised many conclusion regarding what exactly is the connection between the Archipelago and the regular lands you come from, ranging from magic and mythology all the way to esoteric “science” and “alternative dimension”. As for how we know that each Island is inhabited by Anthros? Well, even though is rather rare considering that every island tends to be able to provide more or less everything to sustain the given population of Anthros that live on it so there are no major incentives to things you humans call “trade”, there have been some that for one reason or another decide to abandon their home island to go to another, so over time all of us have become more or less aware of the existence of one another.”

You nodded, appreciating that you get to learn such things. Now, as you are about to ask another question regarding associated matters, such as what exactly is the “Cloud Ridge” she mentioned, or if there have been ways for humans to go back, another anthro approaching from behind Kanela can be heard, saying:

“Hey Kanela! Chief Amara sent me to tell you the Party shall be ready if you return now; don’t be late!”

“Thanks for the dutiful and properly timed notion, Ayana. Now, go back; I shall arrive with our newest member in due time.” Is your caretaker’s response, smiling at the newcomer.

Since she merely turns her head, you are unable to get a proper glimpse of the other anthro, but considering both the name as well as the tone of voice, you can guess she must be female. Regardless, you likely will meet this Ayana at the party itself, so there is no need to worry about not meeting her properly later.

A few seconds later, Kanela looks down at you and speaks, saying:

“Well, this was fun, and I bet you must have another series of questions, but those will have to wait: now, we have a Welcoming Party to participate in!”

“Indeed, carry the way, Kanela. I can’t wait to see what will happen!” you reply, grinning ear to ear.

Kanela giggles, gently petting you before turning around and starting the walk back. Ready for you to arrive at the Village so that the party can begin.
