Violence boiled over and a weapon was created. What it was is lost to time, but it made Sedimar a hellscape. Anthros population dropped, and humans became a rarity. While treatment from before was not perfect for humans, it was now preferable treatment now. Often being seen as gold. The effects of the forgotten weapon made the surviving humans more durable than they were before. Now not just toys and pets, but a way to save off starvation. The humans survive but are often abused by their owners. The anthros' already lustful nature was only amplified by the event, using humans to satisfice themselves if a partner can’t be found. Human offspring have the worst fate of them all. If not bred or abused by their parents, they are often traded for supplies and goods. Often horde like treasures by settlement leaders, and at their every whim. And wild humans distrust anthro-borns, fearing they’re working with their masters to capture more humans.
