One would think having computers and the internet would make people more empathetic to humans, maybe even earning them their freedom. This is not the case. While the treatment of humans has gotten better, humans are still seen as property. Often at the mercy of their owners’ desires. While some laws have been made to defend humans, they did little to protect humans from abuse. Human offspring of anthros are kept by the family, given to friends, or sold off to other anthros. Though some anthros are starting to see humans as more than just pets, there is a long way to go until there seen as equals. Humans are often bought by resorts and clubs as a source of entertainment.
