Olivia's Desert of Cells Human Body: Travel to Learn (Collaberotica Edition) chapter 3 by ProfessorGecko

Mr. Kintobotnik flew the SCAS towards Olivia's left arm. As we land, the tiny hairs on her arm become as tall as trees, and her skin looked like a desert of cells. Some of the cells took off and were blown away like dust in the wind.

"Welcome, class," said Mr. Kintobotnik, "to the skin!"

The entire class observed Olivia's arm in awe. I was already in awe when we were heading to her arm.

"See the flakes taking off?" Mr. Kintobotnik said. "Those are actually dead skin cells. They're shedding and floating away to make room for new skin cells to take their place!"

The class ooh-ed and aah-ed, and some kids took pictures with their phones. As the dead skin cells on Olivia's arm shed, we see a small opening filled with active cells. Someone even spotted a hair grow a bit. Another student asked Mr. Kintobotnik about seeing a dead skin cell once it sheds. Mr. Kintobotnik is loving how his students are asking questions.
