"Okay, first costume," Margie said, handing Jonas a hanger with a shimmering blue fabric. "This one's my original design. Warrior princess vibe. It's got a corset back, so I'll need to help you lace it."

Jonas took the hanger and retreated to the fitting room. He stood there, alone, holding a costume that looked like it belonged in a fantasy movie.

Here goes nothing.

He stripped off the yoga pants and tank top and stood naked in front of the mirror, looking at the woman's body he still didn't quite recognize. This is my body now. For today. For this.

The costume was a two-piece: a pair of fitted leather-look pants and a cropped top with a separate corset overlay. Jonas pulled on the pants first—they slid up easily, hugging his hips and thighs. The top went over his head, leaving his midriff bare.

Then he picked up the corset.

I have no idea how to put this on.

He tried to wrap it around himself, but the laces were in the back and his arms didn't bend that way. He fumbled, twisted, nearly dropped the whole thing, and finally let out a frustrated sigh.

"Need a hand?" Margie's voice came from outside the curtain.

"Yeah," Jonas admitted, feeling his cheeks burn. "I can't reach the laces."

The curtain parted, and Margie stepped in. She didn't comment on his bare midriff or the half-fastened costume. She just took the corset, wrapped it around him, and began cinching the laces with practiced efficiency.

"Breathe out," she said, and pulled.

Jonas felt the corset tighten around his ribs, compressing his waist, pushing his breasts up and together. He looked in the mirror and saw his silhouette transform—narrower waist, fuller chest, a shape that looked like it belonged on a magazine cover.

"Oh," he said, surprised.

"Told you. Warrior princess." Margie tied off the laces and stepped back. "You look great, hon. Now let's take some photos."

Jonas stared at himself in the mirror. The corset gleamed. The pants fit like a second skin. He looked powerful. He looked beautiful.

I'm a man. I'm a man in a woman's body wearing a warrior princess costume. And I look amazing.
