Jay took a deep, shaky breath, the monumental twin globes on his chest rising and falling with the motion. The photographer, a portly man with a permanent scowl and a faded "I ♥ NY" t-shirt, was glaring at him. There was no way he was going to believe what had happened. This guy was a professional, he wasn't going to care about some middle-aged dad's bizarre tale of a magical app and a body swap. The only thing he cared about was getting this shoot done and getting paid.
"Okay, okay, I'm good," Jay said, his voice coming out as a breathy, sultry alto. It was still so strange. It was like hearing someone else's voice come out of his own mouth. He forced a smile, a flash of white teeth that felt alien on his new heart-shaped face. "Let's do this."
The photographer's scowl softened slightly, replaced by a look of weary relief. "Finally. Now, let's get some shots in the dunes."
Jay followed the man, his new feet sinking into the hot sand. Each step was a balancing act. His legs were long and toned, but he felt a weird weight in his chest, a strange, bouncing sensation with every stride. He felt utterly exposed, a man in a bikini, on a beach, in a woman's body. He had never been so uncomfortable in his life. He was a guy who wore cargo shorts and a t-shirt. This was a nightmare.
He posed awkwardly, trying to emulate the poses the photographer demonstrated. He was a natural at being a middle-aged dad, but he was a total amateur at being a bombshell model. He tried to angle his hips, to arch his back, to make the cleavage spilling out of his bikini top look alluring rather than just... huge. The photographer kept shouting instructions, telling him to smile, to look more "sultry," to "pop" his hip. Jay just wanted to pop out of his own skin.
With every click of the camera, he felt his panic growing. This was a whole new level of humiliation. He was a prop, a piece of meat on display, and every man on the beach seemed to be staring at him. He could feel their eyes, and the feeling made his skin crawl.
"Perfect! That's it! Now, a little less... stiff. Let's try one more set near the water," the photographer said, and Jay felt a fresh wave of dread. He was already so tired, so hungry, and so incredibly weirded out. He just wanted to go home. But he knew he couldn't. Not yet. He had to figure this out.
