Fitz stood still, panting softly, the clammy air thick around them. His damp tank top now hung forgotten from the coat hook, replaced by nothing but goosebumps and Miriam’s hands, which cupped his breasts like she was still deciding whether this was real. Her thumbs teased upward, brushing slowly, watching the way his body tensed and arched with each new sensation.

“I can’t believe you’re okay with this,” he said, eyes fluttering closed. “With me. Like this.”

“I didn’t say I was okay,” Miriam murmured, stepping closer. Her voice dipped low, intimate. “I said I was into it. That’s different.”

He opened his mouth to respond, but she kissed him—softly at first, then deeper, her fingers sliding around his waist, tracing the new curves, the smoothness of unfamiliar hips. She fit her body to his like she’d always known how, even though this body was new to both of them.

The stall was barely big enough for the two of them, but Miriam made the space feel like something secret and sacred, something that didn’t have to follow rules or labels or the ticking clock outside.

“Let me see all of you,” she whispered, fingers at the waistband of his borrowed shorts. “Please.”

Fitz hesitated only a moment. Then, silent, he nodded.

They undressed each other slowly, quietly, reverently. His hands trembled as he touched himself—his arms, his waist, his breasts—trying to understand what he was, what he was feeling. Miriam guided him, her touches careful and warm, showing him that it was okay to be seen.

They moved together, pressed chest to chest in the narrow stall. Every new curve of Fitz’s body lit up under Miriam’s fingertips, and every breath he drew seemed to land in the space between awe and disbelief. His nipples, flushed and firm, rubbed against Miriam’s skin, sending electric jolts through his spine.

When their bodies finally met in that rhythm—urgent, wordless, deeply felt—it wasn’t about gender or labels or who they were supposed to be. It was just the two of them, married nearly a decade, finding something new in each other.

Something that made them both gasp.

When it was over, they held each other in the quiet stall, flushed and breathless. Fitz rested his forehead on Miriam’s shoulder, blinking dazedly.

“That was…”

“A science experiment,” she murmured, stroking his back. “In curiosity. And biology. And lust.”

He laughed, shakily. “I don’t think I’ve ever been that sensitive before.”

“Welcome to womanhood,” Miriam whispered, nuzzling behind his ear. “You’re glowing, by the way.”

Outside, a kid banged on the door and yelled something about taking forever. Fitz and Miriam froze, then burst into silent laughter.

“I think we’ve been in here too long,” Fitz said, already pulling the faded tee over his head.

“We earned it,” Miriam said, brushing down her clothes and stealing one last admiring glance. “Besides, I think the boys have probably made a new friend or burned down a hot dog cart by now.”

They stepped out of the stall together—newly dressed, flushed, and just a little giddy. And for the first time that day, Fitz didn’t cross his arms over his chest.
