A Series of Unfortunate Events (For You). Tiny Powers and Super Powered Women chapter 13 by copier · original author: venividivici45

Being glared at by a woman who can bench-press a skyscraper wasn't exactly how you'd hoped this would go, and was an excellent way to lose your nerve. Wincing under her gaze, you managed, "This is all a big misunderstanding, I promise."

The glare gained a few more degrees of intensity. "That really how you want to start this out?" She spat angrily. "When I said start talking, I meant I wanted an explanation."

You opened your mouth to start again, only to be interrupted by Terra, who had taken a seat to Power Girl's left. "Wait, you can hear him?"

Kara transferred her glare to the girl. "Enhanced hearing. Now don't interrupt, I want to hear how our 'guest' intends to lie his way out of this."

You suppressed the urge to yell that you weren't lying, But it really wouldn't serve any purpose to do so. Steeling yourself, you launched into your tale. "Well, last night, I had decided to make my heroic debut, maybe stop a few crimes, get my hero name out there, that sort of thing. I was getting ready to start my night when I was... interrupted." You paused for a moment, picking your next words carefully. "You sort of...ran into me."

Power Girl snorted derisively. "Yeah, right. and I suppose that your little 'Fantastic Voyage' was somehow my fault, too."

You nodded. "Technically, yes."

Her glare turned slightly more murderous. "I'll give you a chance to re-phrase that."

"I... That is to say my suit has- or rather, it had a built in glider."

She huffed. "I think I would have remembered seeing someone else flying around last night."

"It only works when I'm shrunk down." You really didn't want to come right out and say it, if only because you had no idea how the proud Heroine might react. Better to lead her the truth.

"And so what, you wanted a closer look?" She leaned down towards you, her chest almost laying on the table in front of you. "I'm sure that at your size they must really be something else."

Well, so much for that idea. Valiantly maintaining eye contact, you pushed on. "No. I mean, yes, they are, but no, no I did not - I mean-" Yes. Very valiantly indeed. "Look, I was gliding over the city, I tried to land, and then YOU slammed into ME Tits-first going Mach 5!" And possibly slightly annoyed at this latest turn of events.

For a moment, you thought Power Girl was going to crush you like a bug, but after a few moments, her face changed from angry to shocked. "You...You're telling the truth..." she breathed, her expression evolving into embarrassment. "I- I'm so sorry! I'm just so used to hitting things like birds, and newspapers, and-" She brought her hands up to her face. "Oh, God, it's the Wasp all over again!"

This was not the reaction you'd been expecting. "How did you know that I was-"

"Enhanced hearing, remember?" Terra had lowered her head, practically laying it on the table, no doubt so she could hear you. "She was listening to your heart rate, to find out if you were telling the truth! She does it all the time when we're out on patrol."

"Ah." You glanced back at her, now shaking her head and moaning about careless mistakes, before looking back to Terra. "Is she gonna be alright?"

Terra nodded, narrowly avoiding bashing her chin into the table. "Give her a second to process the whole thing. This isn't the first time this has happened, you know."

You nodded. "She keeps saying something about the Wasp...?"

Terra grimaced. "Yeah." She lowered her voice to a whisper. "A few years ago, all heroes had intersecting patrol routes, to ensure that there was always backup close by. Well, one day, PeeGee was crossing through her shared segment with Wasp, and there was a... collision, kinda like with what happened to you."

"And how did Wasp escape?" You briefly wondered if she'd found a better solution.

Terra grimaced. "She didn't. Poor woman almost died in there. Kara's super strength applies to every part of her. Though I'm sure you're aware of that by now. She was in there until Kara's shower the next morning, and almost got washed down the drain. Costume shredded, wings crumpled, and a LOT of broken bones. Come to think of it, why don't you have any?"

You were not prepared to reveal your other power just yet, so you quickly deflected. "So, her name's Kara?" You asked slyly, causing Terra to quietly 'eep' and cover her mouth. You chuckled, masking your relief before turning your attention back to Kara as she managed to calm herself.

"So,' she managed, before grimacing. "What happened next?"

"After you finally stopped flying around, I managed to peel myself off of your chest. Unfortunately, then..."

And so it went for some time, as you recounted events of the last ten hours or so, explaining everything, including, reluctantly, your squishy properties. By the end of it, Power Girl's face was bright red, and Terra was tearfully apologizing. "-I swear, I never meant to-"

You laughed and waved her off. "Terra, I already told you I forgive you. I was an accident, just like everything else."

Power Girl cleared her throat. "I suppose I should return these to you. I, uh, found them in my...well, you know." reaching out her other hand, she held the remnants of your costume.

"Thank you." You picked up the only intact piece, the mask, and inspected it. Both of the eyepieces were shattered, it stank, and it was absolutely drenched. Wringing it out, both you and Power Girl winced at the river of sweat pooling onto the table.

"Well...I think I'm going to head home, and get some sleep." Stepping to the edge of the table, you willed your self to grow back to your normal size. Stepping off the table, your growth slowed, before stopping back at your usual height. You noted with some embarrassment that you were in front of two very beautiful women, your body reeking of sweat, wearing only a now giant-sized price sticker, and that Power Girl was several inches taller than you. "Thank you for your hospitality, ladies."

As you reached the front door, your hand was just about to grab the doorknob when Power Girl called out, "Wait!"
You turned back to face her as she followed you out of the kitchen.
