Seeing her mom pull out her mobile phone, Christine was shocked.
"W-what?" She sputtered in confusion. In his plastic prison, Allen was confounded too.
"One week," their mom said. "Once that alarm goes off, he'd better be on your hips or in your panty drawer and is to be cut free at the earliest opportunity. Do you understand, Christine?"
"Y-you're alright with this?" The still stunned nineteen year old asked.
"No, I'm not," Carrie replied with a sigh. "However, one reason why I've stopped being so harsh on you for crushing your brother is because I could at least count on you to keep him safe. If he's stuck on you, then he's not stuck on some random stranger who we could not find!"
Christine was silent a moment as she hadn't really considered it that way before. It made a lot of sense, really.
Then, the young woman said...
