You make it to the end of the shift without being squished again. You and Juli talked the whole time, and you really enjoyed her company. At the end of it, another lifeguard comes up to relieve you and Juli.
“Hey, wanna go down the slide Jim?” Juli asks. You nod eagerly. After spending hours watching other people go down the slide you feel it’s your turn. Juli wraps her fingers around you, tightly but gently, holding you protectively against her chest. She sits at the top of the middle slide, and pushes off. You are plunged into darkness as she begins to pick up speed, the wind whipping through her hair. Juli squeals in excitement as you hurtle along the dark tunnel.
You weren’t having so much fun. The adrenaline was waking Juli squeeze you tighter and tighter, crushing you into her fingers. It was agonisingly painful, but after being cannonballed by Kim earlier it doesn’t seem so bad.
At last, the long, winding tunnel came to an end and Juli shot out into the pool at the bottom. She stood up; the pool was only about four feet deep, and waded over to the shallow end. As she climbed out of the pool she felt that the slide had pulled her swimsuit up, giving her a wedgie.
She had completely forgotten that you had been in her hand during the ride down. Luckily, you hadn’t fallen off her and drifted away, but you were stuck to the tip of her middle finger. You were hoping she noticed you before you fully reformed and fell off.
Suddenly, Juli stared reaching around behind her. Juli blushes and looks embarrassed “Well, I’d invite you back to my place for coffee, but I have a check-up with my doctor to get too. Don’t worry though, Kim has a half-day like you and me too, so she could give you a lift home.”
“Er, what?” you ask nervously as you feel a shadow move over you.
“Hello Jim.” Kim says sweetly.
“Well, I’ve got to go. See you guys later.” Juli says, handing you over to Kim and then turning to leave. You watch as one of the few nice people in your life walks away, unintentionally leaving you with a monster.
“Well, Jim, would you like to come back to my place?” Kim asks. Before you can reply she closes her hand into a fist, crushing you “Of course you do.” she answers her own question and starts heading for the changing room.
