Melissa sets you back down on her desk and just stares at you for a few minutes. You lay there, trying to free yourself, but not being able to muster up the strength to undo the ties and twists that have held you as a thong. After watching your struggles, Melissa allows herself to giggle.
"Jim, what am I going to do with you?" she asks with exasperation. "I guess technically you weren't skipping training purposefully, and being kidnapped isn't exactly something that I can fire you for, but if one of our guests mistakes you for a piece of material to use to make her own personal thong, I really don't think you have what it takes to be a lifeguard..." she trails off, leaving her words linger in the air.
You are disappointed in yourself. You try to yell up that it wasn't your fault, that you are still learning and are doing everything you can, but she cuts you off.
"It's OK Jim. I'm not going to fire you. Elise is not replacing you. Not technically at least. It's too much of a liability on the park to be one functional lifeguard short, so Elise will fill that role. I just need to think of a new role for you. Fortunately, Elise has given me a great idea of something perfectly *suited* for you. Something you can do just as you are. And I mean *just* as you are."
She has a devilish grin on her face as she continues.
"You see Jim, one of my biggest challenges as head lifeguard is rewarding our best lifeguards every month. The job they do is so important, but it's hard to find something that makes sense. That's where you come in."
Melissa picks up her walkie talkie and says "Will all female lifeguards please report to the lifeguard office immediately". It was a demand more than a request.
After a few minutes, the female staff has gathered. Melissa explains to the crowd that she is implementing a new reward for her lifeguard of the month, and holds you up in front of the crowd. You see some faces you know - Juli, Kim, and even Elise - but many more that you don't. The girls have a broad range of reactions to seeing you like this, from shock, to laughter, to sympathy.
"From now on," Melissa continues "There will be a very easy way to recognize who the lifeguard of the month is. They will be given this very unique thong to wear as a part of their lifeguard uniform for one month. They will be responsible for making sure that Jim is returned in no worse physical condition at the end of their month. We will begin with our most recent lifeguard of the month!"
