You couldn't see a thing in the young woman's pitch black stomach. Even though it wasn't the first time in your life you had been swallowed, it was the first time nobody had any idea where you were so there wasn't going to be anyone to help you. First things first, you knew you had to keep calm. You took a deep breath, but gagged on the rancid, thin air. Since she hadn't eaten anything in a while, sans yourself, you figured you had some time before her stomach got active. Taking advantage of that, you swam toward the side of her stomach and began feeling around.
The goal was to find her esophagus and slip through, hoping she would cough you up. But you had no idea how deep the water was or where in the stomach you were, and in the total darkness it could take forever to find it. You listened for a moment and heard splashing and the movement of water along with the thudding heartbeat and her breaths. You figured that should be water draining through the pylorus, but the sound was reverberating around so much you couldn't tell what direction it was coming from
After about five minutes you could tell the water had drained significantly, and you found an area where your feet could touch the "floor." After wading to the edge, you tried to pull yourself out of the water but the stomach wall was so slippery and covered in mucus that you were unable to gain any footing. Suddenly the water, which had previously been fairly calm, began to get more violent.
