As your eyes adjusted to the light from hours spent buried beneath the chocolate cake, you saw the massive face of your mother terrifyingly close. However, it wasn’t the fact that it was your mother that terrified you. It was the fact that her eyes were closed, her cavernous maw was wide open, and her practically slobbery tongue licked across her lips in anticipation.
You tried to scream, though your flattened lungs couldn’t produce any air to create such a noise that might save you from this predicament. If her eyes had simply been open, she would’ve spotted you immediately. If it was Stacy, you wouldn’t even consider the possibility of being eaten in the first place. But it was your food-loving mother who held your fate in her hands, and it was clear what fate had in store for you.
Shannon shoved the piece of cake into her mouth, throwing you carelessly into the hot swamp of her mouth. She moaned happily, prompting another shocked exclamation from your sister at what she had just done.
“MOM!” Stacy cried, incredulous. “CHECK FOR SAMMY!”
Shannon blushed, both at forgetting about her son and for moaning in ecstasy at how delicious the cake was. Nodding to her daughter to assuage her fears, Shannon began methodically chewing the cake in her mouth into gushy, gooey bits, her tongue snaking back and forth in an attempt to feel for a certain squishy son. It took every fiber of her being to keep herself from smiling from every tasty bite.
The first bite separated you from the majority of the cake, but globs of chocolate gunk still clung to your body, and you realized how horrible that was, though could do nothing to stop it. Your mother tossed you and every other bit of chomped cake in her mouth back and forth, thoroughly covering you in sticky saliva.
Her pearly white teeth chomped down onto your body, sending a rush of pain through you as the unyielding canines squashed you down, bending your malleable body at an unnatural angle. A second later you were lying on her meaty tongue, more cake bits and saliva piling on top of you. It was impossible to tell what was what, or what was really going on inside the pitch-black chaos of Shannon’s mouth.
“Hm…mhm…uh…” Shannon said, tiny bits of chocolate falling out from between her plush lips. “I don’t…fffeel him…” Shannon drawled, swishing the chocolatey mess around in her mouth. Her daughter gave her an inquisitive look, but eventually relented, returning to inspecting her own piece of cake.
Satisfied that she had passed her daughter’s inspection, Shannon thrust her tongue backwards, propelling you and everything else in her mouth towards her throat. With a soul-piercing but silent scream, you tumbled down the black abyss of her esophagus, all chance of escape gone. Shannon’s only response was another satisfied moan, and shyly wiping a bit of saliva off of her lip.
Shannon’s throat muscles practically acted on their own, methodically shoving the food and her own son further and further down, until you were finally deposited into a burning lake of acid, along with the rest of her meal. The stomach acid singed your skin, but you knew you’d survive. It wasn’t the first time you’d been eaten in your life. Or the fifth. Or even the tenth.
Your body slowly reformed back to normal over the course of another few minutes, and you paddled through the gross gastric fluid, frantically trying to think of something to free yourself from the fate she had doomed you to. If you didn’t get out soon, you’d be on the one-way trip to the toilet, and spending hours and hours in your mother’s intestines and colon was not how you wanted to spend your day.
Before you could even think about really doing anything, more chocolate cake rained down from above, the gushy remains crashing down onto you and forcing you under the stomach acid. Your limbs flattened out again from the unexpected aerial assault, and you were forced further down under the lake of stomach juices, your pleas at fate cutting you a break going unanswered.

This cruel, horrible torment continued for the next fifteen minutes, as Stacy and Shannon devoured the entire cake together, partly to search for you, and partly to enjoy the most delicious dessert they’d ever eaten. Even Stacy had begun to enjoy herself, but by the end, was chewing on her lip hard, another hand on her forehead.
“Wh-where is he? We checked everywhere!” Stacy cried, skimming her eyes over the pan’s surface for any sight of her beloved brother. She knew for a fact she hadn’t eaten him, as she had obsessively investigate each of her own pieces for traces of you.
Shannon leaned back and rubbed her tummy affectionately. “I don’t know sweetheart. What if he was never in the cake to begin with?” She mused, suddenly letting out a burp and blushing bright red. She hoisted herself up to her feet and grabbed the plate, sauntering over to the sink to wash it.
Stacy found herself unable to look away from her mother’s stomach, her brain trying to rationalize if that’s where her tiny brother had ended up. After all, Shannon had quite carelessly eaten several pieces of cake, and was known to be oblivious to her son’s presence even in the best of circumstances.
Stacy cleared her throat. “So…mom. You don’t think you might’ve…eaten Sammy?” She posed the question, and your mom frowned, tucking the pan into the dishwasher.
“I checked each piece darling. I would’ve felt my own son in my mouth.” Shannon answered, her eyes betraying her own doubt. She knew full well the times when she had unintentionally hurt or tormented her son, even if those memories never quite impacted her enough to get her to change her behavior or attitude towards you.
“I know you liked that cake…but you could always force yourself to throw up. Like, onto the floor or something. Then we’d know for sure.”
“Ew!” Shannon crinkled her nose. “I’d never gag myself! Not after that time at the Christmas party two years ago.”
Stacy became insistent. “You gagged yourself to puke up Sammy, because you had drunk him with all of that eggnog you binged on! You’re proving my point mom!”
Shannon sighed. Sometimes she hated her daughter for being so smart, smarter than her, but she knew it was only because she loved you so dearly. Your mother glanced down at her stomach, where you were in fact buried under a mound of slowly dissolving cake mush, closer and closer to experiencing the scenic tour through your mother’s bodily processes with each passing second.
Finally, Shannon opened her mouth to speak. What does she say?
