For a brief moment you thought you might actually reach the edge, and potentially even find a way to clamber free, but of course your hopes were dashed as a sudden shadow alerted you to the rapidly closing body of your admirer, and with a colossal surge and spray of water you were once again lashed in a new direction, completely catching you off guard as you were sent back towards the center of the pool.
