Tidal Wave for Tinies

Your optimistic attitude held for the first hour of your brand-new job. Though the sun was bright and hot, the water rolling in from the sea was cool, and the windy breeze steady. Not a single person’s life came anywhere near danger, and peace reigned in your little tiny section of Sanderson Beach. A few guys wanted pointers on swim techniques, and another tiny accidentally lost his miniature wallet, so you handled those minimal issues with ease.
However, as time crept past that first hour mark, you kept hearing rumbling sounds in the distance, like an engine blaring. You assumed it was someone’s souped-up motorcycle in the parking lot, until you realized that it was actually coming from the direction of the ocean, not behind you outside of the beach. Leaning forward in your chair, you squinted off into the distance.
Finally, you spotted what appeared to be a rather large speedboat piloted by two wild sorority girls. It was racing up along the shore, bouncing along the waves and splashing water in its wake. Worryingly, the speedboat was quite close to the beach, and in genuine danger of hitting a swimmer or surfer who couldn’t move out of the way in time. Worse still, from what you could spot (your vision was quite good), the driver of the speedboat seemed intoxicated out of her mind.
Jumping to your feet in a panic, you thought frantically about what to do, wondering how someone of your size could possibly make a difference. Still, acting almost without thinking, you leapt from your lifeguard stand down onto the sand, and ran out into the middle of the tiny section. You motioned frantically to all of your fellow tinies, signaling them to group up near the middle of the tiny section. If any disaster struck (though you were still unsure of what that would entail) you would be ready. In minutes, all fifty or so tiny guys had grouped up around you.
A moment later, and a loud voice cried out from far off to your left. “HEY! STOP THAT BOAT! STOP THAT BOAT RIGHT NOW!” The voice yelled loudly and forcefully. You jerked to follow the sound of the voice, tracing it all the way to Quinn over at the middle tower, some hundred yards away. She was standing and pointing while holding her megaphone up to her mouth. She looked furious, terrifyingly so.
The girls in the boat clearly heard her, and thankfully had just enough common sense to stop their drunken antics. However, before powering down their boat, they steered it closer to shore. The driver whipped the boat around in a hairpin turn while haphazardly docking the boat, and the rear end of the speedboat dug into the waves, dredging up a considerably forceful wake. This explosion of water, which took the form of a wave, surged out from behind the boat…and right towards the tiny section.
You and the fifty other tinies did nothing but stare in abject shock and horror as the surging water from the speedboat’s reckless turn surged towards the shore. Though no more than two feet in height in actuality, that scale was more than enough to qualify as a tidal wave disaster, and as the wave hit the beach and pressed on up, it showed no signs of slowing down.
Time seemed to crawl though, and in those final moments, you noted several things. One: you took note of how every normal-sized beach goer around the tiny section had their eyes firmly on the antics of the boat and on Quinn, not on the tiny section crisis. Two: you similarly noted that Quinn was too busy marching towards the drunk girls and their boat, angry beyond belief at their potentially life-threatening joyride, and she didn’t notice what was going on in the tiny section either. Three: you numbly reconsidered that ramifications of clumping all the tinies in the section into one place.
Time seemed to unfreeze, the tidal wave hit, and all hell broke loose.
You and the other gathered tinies became a confused mess of screaming and panicking as the wave scooped all of you up into its cold, merciless embrace. You were all knocked off your feet and sent spiraling into different directions. Some tinies were tossed aside to relative safety, some coasted along the cusp of the wave, and some were submerged fully in the salty depths. Of course, the only logical course of action for an outgoing wave was to wash back in.
As the water was pulled back into the sea, at least forty of the gathered tinies went with it, you included. Your screaming and cries of terror continued, a chorus of horrified tinies echoing out in unison. Sadly, your paltry noises were just about entirely muffled by the simple crashing of the wave, and were definitely imperceptible to anyone close by. Quinn’s fury over at the boat was still the center of attention.
With your superior stamina and skills in swimming, you managed to stay afloat at the crest of the wave, and were finally deposited right on the water’s edge. Coughing and sputtering, you wiped saltwater from your eyes and watched in horror as at least thirty other tinies were swept away into the ocean. Though only a few feet out from shore at most, that distance was miles in terms of a tiny’s perspective. You were stricken with grief.
That grief gave way to something much more when you heard voices from behind you a minute later. Though faint at first, your ears eventually picked up the distinct sound of laughter. Turning around, your eyes widened, nearly bulging out from your sockets.
A group of three giantesses, towering high, were strolling directly towards the tiny section, laughing and smiling. You took a step to move towards your lifeguard stand and retrieve your megaphone to yell up at them, assuming that they were also distracted by the boat incident and weren’t noticing the clear signs that signaled the tiny section of Sanderson Beach. However, you only took one step before freezing.
Your megaphone wasn’t anywhere to be seen. For that matter, neither was the entire lifeguard stand itself. For that matter, neither were any of the spikes in the sand, or the bright red rope that cordoned off the tiny section. The wave had picked them all up, dragged them across the sand, and swept them away to sea. Every single discernible marker for the tiny section was gone. Those three girls weren’t ignoring the tiny section…they didn’t know it existed at all.
“I mean, there’s never a spot empty this close to the shore!” The oldest giantess, a brunette woman probably around thirty or so, exclaimed, smiling warmly. “What a perfect day!”
The second girl, a blonde roughly twenty years old, shrugged. “Just don’t get me wet while getting out of the water. It’ll ruin my tan.”
The older woman laughed heartily. “I don’t plan on leaving that water for quite a few hours, sweetheart. I came here to swim, after all.” She gestured proudly to her swimsuit of choice, and you gaped at her body. For a moment, you forgot all about your plight and the fates of the tiny section patrons, and your entire world became ogling the woman’s curvy, hourglass figured body. She was wearing nothing but a skimpy string bikini top and bottom, that looked more like strands of floss pressing against her smooth bronzed flesh than real clothing.
The younger giantess rolled her eyes and began rolling out a towel to lie down on. As she did so, you watched a tiny get buried under her heel, and then another hidden beneath the towel. As the girl kneeled on her towel, she stripped off her two-piece and lathered tanning lotion on herself. You couldn’t help but watch, though you felt awful at secretly observing a naked giantess stranger. You justified this staring when you spotted an unfortunate tiny be mashed under the girl’s breast as she lied out on her stomach to begin tanning.
Shaken from your staring by thunderous footsteps, you dove to the side as the older woman ran into the ocean with glee. Two more tinies found themselves molded into the sand by the woman’s heel as she ran, and then a cascade of water rained down as the thick giantess splashed into the sea. One tiny was left mangled in her aftermath, but with his head above the sand, so you walked over to help him.
Before you could reach him, though, the third giantess, a young brown-haired girl about ten years old, skipped happily up towards you, bucket in hand. Without noticing you at all, she swept her bucket through the sand, and scooped up the poor tiny you were going to save right into her plastic bucket.
Giggling gleefully, the girl trotted several steps away. “This is gonna be the best sandcastle ever!” She laughed, and then dumped the bucket contents out. You could just barely see the tiny fall into the pile of sand, and you could also make out at least three other tinies caught up in the young child’s building.
Glancing back at the curvaceous giantess in the water, your jaw dropped open at the sight before you. The woman had stood up for a second, the water up to her quite massive buttocks. Her stringy, barely-there thong had shifted a bit, revealing her full butt crack to the world. The woman was in the midst of adjusting her wardrobe when a wave washed a frantically paddling tiny right into her ass. You could only watch as the woman snapped her thong back into her crack, smiled, and swam off, totally oblivious to the passenger she was now carrying.
The weight of the world on your shoulders was crushing. One look far down the beach showed Quinn dragging the drunken sorority sisters off to Brigitte’s office, confirming that she would be of no help to you. Saving the tinies now suffering was the sole job for you, and one that you now had to face with steely resolve. You were a tiny lifeguard, dammit. Time to guard the lives of tinies!
However, as time crept past that first hour mark, you kept hearing rumbling sounds in the distance, like an engine blaring.
