Your heart sank as you heard the chef say that your pizza would be going to Reagan’s next delivery. You were going to end up at a complete stranger’s house. This meant that not only would this stranger not be looking for a tiny man, but even if you did manage to escape this pizza prison, it would be much harder for you to get back to your roommates.
As the chef boxed up your pizza your fate was sealed, you felt like you wouldn’t be getting back to your roommates any time soon. You could barely see before from the sauce and cheese covering you but the darkness inside the now closed box robbed you of what little sight you had. Your world shifted as the box was lifted and handed to Reagan, who you faintly heard thanking the chef. The box began to rock back and forth as Reagan walked out of the kitchen and through the restaurant towards the front door. You could hear the muffled sounds of the restaurant through the box, and you swear for a split second you heard Morgan say, “Hey guys, have you seen Hunter?”
Morgan’s voice disappeared as quickly as you heard it and you could only cry internally as it was too late, they wouldn’t find you now.
Reagan swung the door open, holding it for a few customers who were just coming in, before sauntering over to her motorbike, several pizza boxes in hand. She had a few deliveries to do on this run and she was looking forward to having some more time riding her bike, not knowing about her tiny passenger sitting at the bottom of the pile of boxes she was carrying. If she knew you were in there she’d have done everything in her power to get you out, she cared deeply about tiny guys. As if to emphasise this, she paused her walk briefly when she felt like there was gum stuck to her foot, she sat the pizza boxes down on her bike’s seat and lifted her foot up to peel the tiny guy she had accidentally stepped on. She apologised profusely and ran back into Pizza Palace to hand him to the group of women she had held the door open for, who were now frantically searching for their tiny friend.
That minor distraction out of the way she got back to her bike, secured the pizzas in the bag to keep them warm during the journey, and set off.
You hoped that over the journey the constant motion would help to possibly dislodge you, but the stacked pizza boxes kept movement to a minimum. Also as the pizza cooled slightly, not a lot in part due to the heat sealed bag, the crust seemed to harden slightly, as did the cheese covering you. This made the surrounding pizza hold you in even more tightly. You sighed when you noticed this, it seemed that everything was going against you today, all you wanted was to have a nice dinner with your new roommates and get to know them better, but now it looked like you were destined to end up in the stomach of a random stranger.
After around twenty minutes, with a few deliveries in between, you felt your pizza box lifted, and the familiar motion of Reagan carrying the box to the door where you were to be delivered to. You heard a feminine voice answer and thank Reagan, before you felt the pizza box shift as it changed hands.
The pizza box was placed on a solid surface, presumably a table, before it was opened. Once your eyes adjusted to the change in light you looked up to the hungry face of...
1) ... Your sister Tracy, her and your mom ordered takeout and invited your Aunt Norah to join them.
2) ... A complete stranger
3) ... Someone else you recognise (writer’s choice)
