"Yakima, is that you? You look... different."
"Different how? I hope I don't look bad. The flight over here was pretty tiring," Yakima admitted, checking her face in the reflection of her smartphone's dark, currently unlit screen.
"O-oh, no! Not like that, that's not what I meant!" Midori protested, her hands waving as she tried to assuage her friend's concerns.
"I don't know you beyond what Midori's told me, and she's told me nothing but good things, but... I dunno. You're more bubbly than what she was describing. It's almost like meeting my own identical twin!" Cori laughed, earning an eye-roll from the two Asian supermodels. Oh sure, in terms of body type, the two women were identical. But nobody looking at the Japanese supermodel and the almost stereotypical-looking American model (blue eyes, blonde hair, the works) would call them twins.
The trio were currently seated at a local restaurant. Humorously, the trio had decided on cuisine that was neither American nor Japanese; instead heading to a Vietnamese restaurant that was a local favorite.
The trio of gorgeous bombshells were drawing no short supply of stares from the restaurant patrons, which to them was just another day in the life. Midori was far more focused on whatever had transformed her normally cool-headed, calm friend into a bright-eyed, bubbly, grinning woman! There was even a bounce in her friend's step, and good lord, when Yakima bounced, she really bounced. It was a good thing her friend had chosen to wear a thick sweater rather than something thinner, or something that buttoned-up.
"Seriously, spill, Yaki! What's gotten into you! I'm happy to see you too, but it's like you're walking on sunshine or something!"
"N-nothing's different! Can't I be happy to see my friend? ...And make a new one. No offense, Cori. I'm not trying to ignore you!"
----------------------
Gosh, was she really acting that different? Just because she'd finally met the perfect boyfriend, she wasn't acting too out of character... was she?
'I mean... I CAN feel Ben snuggled up in my bra right now... and thinking about how he's safe... and warm... and close to my heart DOES make it feel like there are butterflies in my stomach..."
"Earth To Yakima! Girl, you are in a trance today!"
"I-I am not! I was just... lost in thought!" Yakima spluttered, eyes wide as Midori waved a hand in front of her face.
"I dunno... feels like you're hiding something from me... and the Yakima I know is terrible at keeping secrets!"
"I-I'm not hiding anything from you! L-let's just eat before our food gets cold!"
"Fine~ But don't think I won't weasel your secrets out of you yet, Yakima! You've always been an open book to me!"
--------------------
Twenty minutes later, the three women were pleasantly full and sitting back in their seats.
"Oh, it's good to catch up like this. I've been looking forward to seeing you again for so long, Yakima! You're going to LOVE it here!"
"I've been looking forward to meeting you ever since Midori first told me about you! And any friend of hers is a friend of mine!" Cori pipe up, a broad smile on her face.
"Thank you, both of you. Coming here has been a big step forward for me. I'm really looking forward to living here in America. Even if it's not a permanent arrangement... I'm very happy with how things are going!"
Cori and Midori exchanged a look.
"So~ What's the deal, Yakima? Has coming to America put you in that good of a mood? I know you've been looking forward to seeing your sister for a while."
"T-that's not it... It's great to see Kim again, but-"
"Oh, then it's something else?"
Yakima clammed up, realizing she'd walked right into Midori's trap.
The buxom beauty let out a long-suffering sigh before responding.
"Ugh... I really can't keep anything from you, can I? Fine... I... might've... mgh... met someone..."
Midori's squeal could've shattered glass if it was any higher pitched.
"Omigosh! That's amazing, Yakima! Wait... You've only been here, for like, one day, right? When the heck did you meet your new sweetheart? Is he back in Japan?"
"Er... no, he's here."
Midori's smile dimmed slightly, though it didn't completely die.
"Uh... I'm not one to judge, but... unless you've had a penpal I didn't know about, doesn't that mean you only met your boyfriend today?"
"What are you getting at, Midori?"
"N-nothing! I'm just looking out for you, that's all! I know just as well as you how guys can be. We went to the same high school, after all. All I'm saying is someone you met and decided to go out with in one day is... kinda suspicious, you know? I just don't want you to get hurt."
Yakima sighed. Midori's words were a little irritating- not that she was irritated at her friend, not at all. She understood full well where Midori was coming from. Hell, between college and high school she must've heard every boob-related pun and joke in the book. And boy, did she use the term 'joke' loosely, because she'd never found being called a dairy cow (and other such degrading nicknames) funny. Even if the boys around her had thought they'd been being witty or teasing, those words had hurt.
But Ben was different. He was sweet, kind, caring... and he was hers. He wasn't someone who would make fun of her body when he'd been living all his life that put even a situation like hers (i.e. having ginormous boobs) to shame.
He knew what it was like to stand out, physically.
Midori didn't know that, though.
"Midori... trust me. I know what I'm doing. Ben is... he's really sweet. And he's the last person in the world who would ever see me as just a huge floating pair of boobs." Said huge floating pair was currently being used to ferry him around. She could feel him, pressed to her warm, soft flesh... Subconsciously, even the simple act of stowing him away in her bra felt like she was giving him an education on how to respect her body. Her immense chest was what protected him and kept him safe!
"Well... I don't think I can remember ever winning an argument with you, Yakima. Just... I'm thinking of you, okay? I only want what's best for you. You deserve to be happy. ...Cori? You've been... silent for a while now. Do you have anything to share?"
Yakima got the feeling that 'silent' was not a word usually said in the same sentence as Cori's name.
"Huh? Oh! Sorry, I was just listening. I mean... I don't think I have anything to add beyond what you've already said, Midori. Girls like us; with girls like ours," Here Cori paused and hefted her enormous bosom, cupping the sides of her massive breasts with each hand. "Girls like us get a lot of attention from boys- and some girls too! And a lot of it is pretty unwanted. It's why I joined up with the modeling agency in the first place. I wanted to be proud of my body, and be proud of who I was. I LOVE being adored, but... I think all of us here know how much it sucks to be ridiculed just for having a bit more up top or behind than most girls do."
Yakima would never refer to her endowment as 'just a bit more' than what was considered an average bust size, but Cori's point stood.
"Ah, I'm being too much of a downer! Yakima, you're Midori's friend, and if she trusts you, I'll trust you as well!
"Both of you... thank you..."
Coming to America had been a great decision. She'd reunited with her old high school best friend, made a new friend, AND finally found her perfect boyfriend!
