It was with both amazement and some slight disappointment that the strippers witnessed Cassie's return to the club the next afternoon. You, of course, were practically ecstatic at the sight of the Manila envelope filled with cash that Cassie started withdrawing, and counting out, in the privacy of the back room where you had gotten into this predicament in the first place.
"There it is," she said when she was finished counting: "Every penny. It's all yours...on one condition."
"What's that?" demanded Alicia, suspiciously.
"That you give Thomas a job here, for the next twelve months, so that he can repay my mother out of his salary. Only that way will he prove to her that he's responsible enough to support both of us after we're married!"
