As light filtered in through the open zipper you peered up through your one good eye, indistinct shapes gradually becoming more recognisable just in time to see Maddie’s looming face as her hand reached down towards you. Your mind flashed back to all of your horrible experiences being used by this girl in the one day you’d known each other, and you heaved a sigh of relief as she reached past you to pull out an old headband, her wrist only lightly grazing your squished and immobile body. There was no sweat on her flesh yet, so it would seem that for the moment at least you were safe.
In the world beyond your prison you could vaguely hear Maddie talking to someone you could not see, but the words faded into obscurity as your mind drifted into considerations of your fiancé’s sister and your unfortunate experience with her to date. Truthfully, before that horrid workout you would have said without consternation that the athletic girl was your favourite of Cassie’s relatives. Unlike Sophie she hadn’t laughed at your stories, even if you knew the younger girl wasn’t trying to be mean, and had seemed genuinely incensed by Tara’s past treatment of you. The middle sister also had not looked at you with the same odd scrutiny Kimberly had, or forced you to tell stories that you hadn’t really wanted to convey. Indeed, she had been the one to ask you for happier stories. Even if she had threatened to play pranks on you in the future, you could tell she had no ill intent.
Unfortunately for you both, the subsequent workout, and all that had transpired during it had coloured your impression of the brunette somewhat, as now just looking at Maddie made you think of being pounded under her sweaty booty and thoroughly used to clean ever inch of her body of its overwhelming sweat. An experience that had been far more intimate that you had ever wanted to get with Cassie’s sister. That said, you truly believed that Maddie had no idea what she was doing to you, and she had apologised sincerely when she found out you were on her mat, even if she did move on soon after, displaying an inattentiveness that had sealed your fate as a sweat towel. It was more than you could say for Kimberly, whose beliefs and motivations remained unclear to you...
Your train of thought was broken as Maddie returned to retrieve her water bottle, and in the process move to hang half-outside of the bag. With your unsquished eye now fully exposed to the light, you got the chance to take in your surroundings as your potential sister-in-law took a few steps away. It seemed the bag was leaning a against a bench on the far wall of what appeared to be a large gym. In the distance you could see various women using various pieces of exercise equipment scattered around the room, or working out in their own spaces. Nearer by a wide padded area played host to stretches and less intense workouts. From your vantage point you couldn’t see any men so you assumed this was either a women-only gym or it was having a women-only day.
Just a few meters away, Maddie had moved to the mats to begin some warm-up stretches, where she was joined by two other young woman who appeared of similar age to herself. Both were shorter than Maddie, though one, a curvy girl who nevertheless maintained a level of tone similar to her friends, was only beaten out by an inch or two. Her bronzed skin, long brown hair and hazel eyes, along with the general structure of her face spoke to her Brazilian origin and her lips pouted playfully as she made some comment you missed. The second girl was, you’d guess, more around 5’6” and lacked the prominent curves of her friends, though you could tell they were still large enough to dominate you. She shared the toned physique of her companions, and had inherited the complexion and facial features of her Korean parents, with straight black hair down to her shoulders. As you finally tuned into their conversation you realised that they were talking about yourself.
Raising an elegant eyebrow, Aria brushed her hair from her face and fixed a playful glare on her face as she faced her friend. “Are you sure you’re not pulling our legs Maddie? Because you should know by now you can’t out-prank me.” Really, it was cute that they tried sometimes, but everyone should have known by now that she was the queen of pranks. It seemed Ha-neul at least agreed, as the other girl put in her own two cents. “I think if I or my sister brought a little man like that home our mother would say something like ‘that not a man, you take back, bring real man’.” She giggled at that, putting on a deeper tone as she imitated the authoritative tone of her traditional mother.
Maddie frowned slightly, lifting herself from a deep stretch as she turned to face her friends directly. “I’m telling you I’m not lying Aria. My sister’s fiancé really is a one foot tall guy, and he really can be squished and moulded into a variety of shapes. And to be honest Ha-neul, I’m not sure my own mother took it that well either. She seemed like she kept wanting to keep testing Jake or something, though she never really said why or what she actually wanted. Still…” Moving into another stretch, your future sister-in-law averted her gaze from her companions, though you could still see enough of her face to spy the barest hint of tears at the edge of her eyes. “In the ends I was the one who ended up treating him the worse. That guy probably hates me right now, and I can’t honestly blame him.”
Despite what Maddie had put you through, you felt your own heart ache at the forlorn look on the brunette’s face, and you instantly wished you could tell her that you didn’t hate her and that it wasn’t her fault. Unfortunately, the most you could do was summon the barest of twitches from your trailing edge, and you were otherwise reduced to watching helplessly as Aria threw her arms around her friend, pulling the other girl from her stretch and into a tight hug against her soft chest.
Moved by her friend’s obvious distress, Aria stopped her teasing and ran a hand through Maddie’s short brown hair, unbothered that she was messing up the neat ponytail. “Hey hey, none of that now. You said it was an accident right? I’m sure he wouldn’t hate you over an accident.” The buxom girl had been on the fence about believing so out-there a story, but this sadness did seem genuine, and she did truly want to help her friend, and not-so-secret crush. “Besides…” She smiled slyly. “Who could be mad about touching such a stunning body as yours. Really, the dude probably loved it.” There was a temptation to slap the other girl’s butt for emphasis, but now wasn’t the best time.
Huffing a small laugh, Maddie brushed off the flirty complement with a small blush, pulling her face out of Aria’s cleavage with a ruthful smile. “Thanks. I know that, it’s just… not the way I wanted to meet my future brother-in-law you know?” She’s actually been kind of excited when Cassie let them know she was going to bring her fiancé around to visit, having previously wondered why they hadn’t yet met the guy. And sure, he was small, but he seemed like a fun guy, and she had wanted the chance to get to know him better. Instead she had spent more time crushing the unfortunate dude with her body then genuinely speaking to him. Still, with a small nod to show that she was okay, the hold around her loosened, and the brunette was able to pull back to wipe away her own tears.
For your part, you were thankful that Maddie seemed to be feeling a little better, even if you did perhaps wish that some of that salvation could be directed your own way. Unfortunately, you knew that these women still had no idea that you were here right now, a thought that was emphasised as Ha-neul piped up, kind eyes meeting her friend’s as she smiled. “Don’t worry, we believe you. This whole situation is obviously stressing you out, and we all know exercise is the best way to loosen you up.” Her smile shifted into a smirk, though one without ill-intent. “There aren’t any one foot tall men for you to worry about here, or men at all for that matter, so there’s no need for you to hold back.” You were gripped by the need to tell her that she was wrong, and the knowledge that you could not.
Heedless of both your thoughts and your presence, Maddie smiled widely at her friend. “You’re right. I’m not sure where he went after Cassie picked him up from the wash, but given what I’d done I didn’t want to bother them by asking after him.” Technically she hadn’t actually confirmed that her sister had come back from you, but she was sure that she had. After all, you two were obviously in love. Also, Sophie had dropped off her clothes later that night, and she had been certain to double-check them all to make sure you weren’t among them. Finishing her last stretch, the brunette rose to her feet, her friends joining her as they shook out a last few muscle kinks. “When I get home later I’ll ask to speak to them both, and then I’ll apologise properly and hope that Jake forgives me.” Despite her fears, she thought she had a chance. You seemed like a nice and understanding guy.
Clapping her hands, Aria sent a slight jiggle through her own body at the action. “Okay, but that’s a thought for later. Right now…” She pointed dramatically at nothing in particular. “To exercise!” The other two giggled, and as one began to move towards the distant equipment, before Maddie stopped and briefly turned back to look at her bag and you, brow crinkling in thought before she…
