Practice went fast and smoothly enough for the team. But, for you, it felt more like the proverbial eternity. Every time you were on the verge of reforming to your third-dimensional self (which would've enabled you to peel free from the seat of Raina's gym shorts and make a bid for escape), it seemed like the volleyball was maneuvered towards her. Forcing her to bend forward and hit it upward with both hands clasped together. Which, in turn, made her fall forward on to her top-heavy torso. Whereupon, she'd have to roll over on to her (ample-but-admittedly-voluptuous) posterior, thereby re-flattening you!
When the coach was finally satisfied with how the team had practiced, she blew her whistle and allowed them to return to the locker room. There, Vanessa (the team's purple-haired captain) praised her teammates for how well they had done. Then, she turned to Raina and added: "You better let me have the little guy for tonight. We don't know how crush-proof, he realy is. So, if I keep him till after this next game, we know he'll be safe and sound to return to you. Assuming we win, of course!"
Raina peeled you off her shorts and looked at you with an indecisive frown.
